Multicenter Study Comparative StudyMulticenter analysis comparing robotic, open, laparoscopic, and vaginal hysterectomies performed by high-volume surgeons for benign indications.
To compare perioperative outcomes between robotic-assisted benign hysterectomies and abdominal, vaginal, and laparoscopic hysterectomies when performed by high-volume surgeons. ⋯ When performed by gynecologic surgeons with relevant high-volume experience, robotic-assisted benign hysterectomy provided improved outcomes compared with abdominal, vaginal, and laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Randomized Controlled TrialRandomized controlled trial of tranexamic acid among parturients at increased risk for postpartum hemorrhage undergoing cesarean delivery.
To assess the effects of tranexamic acid among patients undergoing cesarean delivery who were at high risk of postpartum hemorrhage. ⋯ Intravenous tranexamic acid, administered before skin incision, significantly reduced the requirement for additional uterotonics among women at increased risk for postpartum hemorrhage.
