Comparative StudyComparison of the Efficacy and Safety of Aspirin and Rivaroxaban Following Enoxaparin Treatment for Prevention of Venous Thromboembolism after Hip Fracture Surgery.
To compare the efficacy and safety of aspirin with rivaroxaban following treatment with enoxaparin for prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE) after hip fracture surgery (HFS). ⋯ Extended prophylaxis for 21 days with aspirin was equivalent to the direct oral anticoagulant rivaroxaban after hip fracture surgery with an initial 5-day postoperative course of enoxaparin. Aspirin may be an effective, safe, convenient, and cheap alternative for extended prophylaxis after hip fracture surgery.

Comparative StudyLesions of the Long Head of the Biceps Tendon Concomitant with Rotator Cuff Tears: Tenotomy or Subpectoral Mini-open Tenodesis? A Comparative Short to Mid-term Follow-up Study.
To compare the clinical and radiological outcomes of patients who underwent rotator cuff repair (RCR) concomitant with long head of the biceps tendon (LHBT) tenotomy or subpectoral mini-open tenodesis. ⋯ Both tenotomy and subpectoral mini-open tenodesis are effective for concomitant lesions of the LHBT in patients with reparable rotator cuff tears, and subpectoral mini-open tenodesis of the LHBT does not provide any significant clinical or functional improvement than isolated tenotomy.

Treatment of Femoral Neck Fractures with Cannulated Screw Invasive Internal Fixation Assisted by Orthopaedic Surgery Robot Positioning System.
To investigate the clinical efficacy and advantages of cannulated screw internal fixation assisted by the orthopaedic surgery robot positioning system in the treatment of femoral neck fractures. ⋯ Cannulated screw internal fixation assisted by the orthopaedic surgery robot positioning system is an ideal method for the treatment of femoral neck fractures. This method has the advantages of relatively simple operation, more accurate screw placement during operation, high success rate of one-time nail placement, short operation time, less surgical trauma, less radiation, and good recovery of hip function.

ReviewDemineralized Bone Matrix Carriers and their Clinical Applications: An Overview.
Reconstruction of massive bone defects is challenging for orthopaedic clinicians, especially in cases of severe trauma and resection of tumors in various locales. Autologous iliac crest bone graft (ICBG) is the "gold standard" for bone grafting. However, the limited availability and complications at donor sites resulted in seeking other options like allografts and bone graft substitutes. ⋯ The present review aims to summarize the properties of various kind of viscous carriers and their clinical use combined with DBM in commercially available products. Given DBM'mercially available products. Given DBM;s long clinical track record and commercial accessibility in standard forms, opportunities to further develop and validate DBM as a versatile bone biomaterial in orthopaedic repair and regenerative medicine contexts are attractive.

Identifying the Prognosis Factors and Predicting the Survival Probability in Patients with Non-Metastatic Chondrosarcoma from the SEER Database.
To identify prognostic factors and establish nomograms for predicting overall survival (OS) and cause specific survival (CSS) of patients with non-metastatic chondrosarcoma. ⋯ Age, gender, tumor size and extension, surgery, histological grade, and subtype were independent prognostic factors for both OS and CSS. In addition, we revealed that chondrosarcomas in the trunk, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy were correlated with poor prognosis. Our nomograms based on significant clinicopathologic features can well predict the 3-year and 5-year survival probability of patients with non-metastatic chondrosarcoma and assist oncologists in making accurate survival evaluation.
