Meta Analysis Comparative StudyLong-term Results Comparing Cervical Disc Arthroplasty to Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.
Whether cervical disc arthroplasty (CDA) is superior to anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) remains controversial, especially in relation to long-term results. The present study aimed to evaluate the long-term safety and efficiency of CDA and ACDF for cervical disc disease. ⋯ Our study provided further evidence that compared to ACDF, CDA had a higher long-term clinical success rate and better functional outcome measurements, and resulted in less symptomatic ASD and fewer secondary surgeries. However, worldwide multicenter RCT with long-term follow up are still needed for further evaluation in the future.

Meta AnalysisInfluence of Ketorolac Supplementation on Pain Control for Knee Arthroscopy: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.
The efficacy of ketorolac supplementation on pain control for knee arthroscopy remains controversial. We conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the impact of ketorolac supplementation on pain intensity after knee arthroscopy. ⋯ Ketorolac supplementation is effective to produce pain relief for knee arthroscopy.

Total Knee Arthroplasty in Patients with Prior Femoral and Tibial Fractures: Outcomes and Risk Factors for Surgical Site Complications and Reoperations.
To investigate the outcomes of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in patients with a prior femoral or tibial fracture, and identify the risk factors for surgical site complications and reoperations. ⋯ TKA for post-fracture osteoarthritis significantly relieved pain and improved function, but the incidence of surgical site complications and reoperations was high. Preoperative patella baja was a risk factor for surgical site complications and reoperations.

Topical Injection of Tranexamic Acid via a Drain Plus Drain-Clamping to Reduce Blood Loss in Degenerative Lumbar Scoliosis Surgery.
The aim of the present study was to investigate whether an innovative way of administering tranexamic acid (TXA), that is, injecting it retrogradely through the drain and clamping it for 1 h, can reduce postoperative bleeding after degenerative lumbar scoliosis surgery. ⋯ Topical injection of TXA retrogradely via a drain at the end of a degenerative lumbar scoliosis operation and clamping the drain for an hour can effectively decrease the postoperative blood loss and the length of hospitalization without increasing the complication rate.

Comparative StudyA Comparative Study of Intramedullary Nail Strengthened with Auxiliary Locking Plate or Steel Wire in the Treatment of Unstable Trochanteric Fracture of Femur.
To compare the clinical outcomes of unstable femoral trochanteric fracture treated by proximal femoral intramedullary nail enhanced with lateral locking plate versus cerclage steel wire. ⋯ The cerclage wire has benefits of saving time and operation costs; however, the locking plate has the advantages of improving fracture reduction quality, shortening time to full weight bearing and fracture healing, and improving hip function recovery due to the lateral additional fixations to proximal femoral intramedullary nail for unstable trochanteric fractures.
