Comparative StudyTime to Surgery Reduction in Hip Fracture Patients on an Integrated Orthogeriatric Unit: A Comparative Study of Three Healthcare Models.
To investigate the clinical efficacy of three different healthcare models (Traditional Model, Geriatric Consultant Model, and Orthogeriatric Unit Model) consecutively applied to a single academic center (University Hospital of Salamanca, Spain) for older hip fracture patients. ⋯ The healthcare model based on an Orthogeriatric Unit seems to be the most efficient, because it reaches a reduction in time to surgery, with an increased number of patients surgically treated on in the first 24 h, and the greatest frequency of surgically-treated patients.

Single Ilioinguinal Approach to Treat Complex Acetabular Fractures with Quadrilateral Plate Involvement: Outcomes Using a Novel Dynamic Anterior Plate-Screw System.
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel fixation technique referred to as the dynamic anterior plate-screw system for quadrilateral plate (DAPSQ) for complex acetabular fractures with quadrilateral plate involvement through the single ilioinguinal approach. ⋯ The use of DAPSQ with quadrilateral screws is an effective and safe choice for complex acetabular fractures with quadrilateral plate involvement through the single ilioinguinal approach.

Relationship Between Time to Surgical Debridement and the Incidence of Infection in Patients with Open Tibial Fractures.
To analyze the relationship between the length from injury to first debridement (LFITFD) of open tibial fractures and perioperative infection, and explore independent risk factors related to infection. ⋯ The incidence of perioperative infection in patients with open tibial fractures has little to do with the time of the first debridement, which is mainly related to the level of the fracture's Gustilo-Anderson classification. At the same time, smoking is prohibited before the operation, the patient's blood glucose is managed, and the debridement operation time is minimized conducive to reducing the incidence of infection.

Case ReportsTreatment of Osteochondral Fracture of the Lateral Femoral Condyle with TWINFIX Ti Suture Anchor "X"-Shaped Internal Fixation under Arthroscopy: A Surgical Technique and Three Cases Report.
Osteochondral fracture of the lateral femoral condyle is a rare intra-articular injury with or without patellar dislocation. This kind of disease is commonly seen in the knee joint sprain during strenuous activity. At present, open reduction is often used to treat osteochondral fractures. ⋯ After operation, the fracture of femoral condyle healed well and the function of knee joint recovered gradually. Suture anchor system is mostly used to repair rotator cuff and patellar tendon. This is the first case to apply the suture anchor system to the reduction and fixation of fracture.
