The Affordable Care Act (ACA) improved health care coverage accessibility by expanding Medicaid eligibility, creating insurance Marketplaces, and subsidizing premiums. We examine coverage changes associated with ACA implementation, comparing adults with and without a cancer history. ⋯ ACA implementation was associated with large coverage gains in targeted expansion groups, including cancer survivors, but additional progress is needed.

To estimate the excess burden of out-of-pocket health care spending associated with Alzheimer disease and related disorders (ADRD) among older individuals (age 65 y and older). ⋯ ADRD is associated with excess out-of-pocket health care spending, primarily driven by prescription drugs and home health care use.
