Prostate cancer is a common malignancy in men that is difficult to treat and carries a high risk of death. miR-219-5p is expressed in reduced amounts in many malignancies. However, the prognostic value of miR-219-5p for patients with prostate cancer remains unclear. ⋯ miR-219-5p can be used as a biomarker to predict death risk in prostate cancer patients. The mortality risk prediction model constructed based on miR-219-5p has good consistency and validity in assessing patient prognosis.

Deleterious mutations would be rapidly purged from natural populations along with the extinction of their carriers. The currently observed mutations in existing species are mostly neutral. The inaccessibility of deleterious mutations impedes the functional studies on how these mutations affect the fitness at individual level. ⋯ Deleterious mutations are suppressed in functionally important genes as well as in normal populations. This work deepened our understanding on how natural selection act on deleterious mutations by analogising the cancer evolution to species evolution, which are essentially the same molecular process but at different time scales.

Postpartum haemorrhage is one of the direct and the leading causes of maternal morbidity and mortality. There are many risk factors of postpartum haemorrhage, which vary in different settings. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to assess postpartum haemorrhage and associated factors among mothers who gave birth in public health facilities. ⋯ The prevalence of postpartum haemorrhage is high. The age of the participants, disrespectful maternity care, labour induction and augmentation, the prolonged second stage of labour and no antenatal care visit were independent predictors of postpartum haemorrhage.

Meta Analysis
Different pedagogies for acquisition of knowledge and skill: a systematic review and network meta-analysis.
This network meta-analysis aimed to assess the efficacy of different educational methods for healthcare professionals. ⋯ Our study demonstrates all educational methods have positive effects on knowledge acquisition, but education methods involving high fidelity virtual patient simulation are better at improving skill performance than other methods.

'Post-COVID-19 syndrome' refers to symptoms in the convalescent phase following initial COVID-19 infection. This term encompasses a wide array of presentation involving lungs, heart and the neuromuscular system. Pulmonary manifestations include post-COVID-19 fibrosis, which is akin to post acute respiratory distress syndrome fibrosis and may reflect the permanent damage to the lungs following an initial bout of infection. ⋯ Clinical manifestations are often varied and non-specific, which entails a detailed workup and a multidisciplinary approach. Post-COVID-19 syndrome adds to the overall disease morbidity and leads to a prolonged hospital stay, greater healthcare utilisation and loss of productivity marring the country's dwindling economy. Thus, it is imperative that post-COVID-19 syndrome be prevented and identified early followed by a prompt treatment.
