Multicenter StudyAssociation of Shoulder Problems in Persons With Spinal Cord Injury at Discharge From Inpatient Rehabilitation With Activities and Participation 5 Years Later.
To examine whether musculoskeletal shoulder pain and limitations in shoulder range of motion (ROM) at discharge from first rehabilitation are associated with activities and participation restrictions 5 years later in persons with spinal cord injury (SCI). ⋯ The presence of limitations in shoulder ROM, but not shoulder pain, at discharge is associated with limitations in activities and employment status 5 years later.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyDextrose Prolotherapy Versus Control Injections in Painful Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy.
To compare the effect of dextrose prolotherapy on pain levels and degenerative changes in painful rotator cuff tendinopathy against 2 potentially active control injection procedures. ⋯ In participants with painful rotator cuff tendinopathy who receive physical therapy, injection of hypertonic dextrose on painful entheses resulted in superior long-term pain improvement and patient satisfaction compared with blinded saline injection over painful entheses, with intermediate results for entheses injection with saline. These differences could not be attributed to a regenerative effect. Dextrose prolotherapy may improve on the standard care of painful rotator cuff tendinopathy for certain patients.

Clinical TrialCombined Clinic-Home Approach for Upper Limb Robotic Therapy After Stroke: A Pilot Study.
To investigate the feasibility of a combined clinic-home intervention using a robotic elbow brace and, secondarily, to collect preliminary data on the efficacy of this clinic-home intervention. ⋯ This combined clinic-home intervention was feasible and effective. Participants demonstrated improvements in arm impairment and self-reported use of the arm from baseline to discharge; they continued to report significant improvement in actual use of the arm at 3-month follow-up.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyUltrasound-Guided Hyaluronic Acid Injections for Trigger Finger: A Double-Blinded, Randomized Controlled Trial.
To investigate the effects of ultrasound-guided injections of hyaluronic acid (HA) versus steroid for trigger fingers in adults. ⋯ Ultrasound-guided injection of HA demonstrated promising results for the treatment of trigger fingers. The optimal frequency, dosage, and molecular weight of HA injections for trigger fingers deserve further investigation for future clinical applications.

ReviewPilates Method for Women's Health: Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials.
To critically analyze the benefits of Pilates on health outcomes in women. ⋯ There is a paucity of evidence on Pilates for improving women's health during pregnancy or for conditions including breast cancer, obesity, or low back pain. Further high-quality RCTs are warranted to determine the effectiveness of Pilates for improving women's health outcomes.
