The reproductive dilemma faced by men has always been the focus of the whole society. Idiopathic asthenozoospermia (AZS), as one of the common causes of male infertility, lack of specific treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine has shown potential benefits in the management of male infertility. Yishentongluo decoction (YSTL) is a representative Chinese herbal formula; however, there is still no rigorous clinical trial supporting its application. Therefore, we designed a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of YSTL for patients with idiopathic AZS and explain the possible action mechanisms of YSTL in improving sperm motility. ⋯ This study will provide initial evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of YSTL in the treatment of idiopathic AZS with kidney deficiency and blood stasis pattern. In addition, potential mechanisms of YSTL in improving sperm motility will be explored based on sperm MMP test.

A large number of clinical studies have confirmed that after treatment with traditional Chinese medicine components such as sinomenine (SIN), the matrix -metalloproteinase3 (MMP-3) level of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) shows a significant decrease, whereas MMP-3 can be involved in degrading bone matrix in humans, so in the progression of bone and joint injury in patients with RA, serum MMP-3 can be used as an important biochemical marker. The traditional Chinese medicine components commonly used in clinical practice include total glucosides of paeony (TGP), SIN, and tripterygium glycosides, which have the characteristics of disease-modifyinganti-rheumatic drugs and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, while they can reduce the toxic side effects of methotrexate (MTX), and their combination with other drugs such as MTX and leflunomide (HWA486) has become an important regimen for the treatment of RA in clinical practice. Therefore, we designed this study protocol to evaluate the adjuvant effect of commonly used traditional Chinese medicine components combined with MTX in the treatment of osteoarticular injury in RA. ⋯ This study is a secondary study based on the published clinical research; therefore, approval from an ethics committee is not required for this study. In accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis Protocol (PRISMA-P), the results of this study will be published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and conference papers. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a public threat, leading to progressive physical activity and poor quality of life. Although modern medicine has excellent achievement of COPD, the recurrence rate of stable COPD and the mortality of acute exacerbation COPD remain high. As one of the external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine, acupoint application has been treated COPD in China for a long time. Nevertheless, study evaluating the effect of acupoint application for COPD could not satisfy needs for clinic. ⋯ INPLASY202090023.

Comparative efficacy of bariatric surgery for type 2 diabetes mellitus: A protocol for systematic review and network meta-analysis.
The comparative efficacy of bariatric surgical procedures for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) has not been completely elucidated. To investigate this question, we conduct a systematic review and network meta-analysis. ⋯ INPLASY202050053.

We aimed to establish and validate a nomogram for predicting the disease-specific survival of invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) patients. The Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program database was used to identify ILC from 2010 to 2015, in which the data was extracted from 18 registries in the US. Multivariate Cox regression analysis was performed to identify independent prognostic factors and a nomogram was constructed to predict the 3-year and 5-year survival rates of ILC patients based on Cox regression. ⋯ Finally, decision-curve analyses demonstrated that the nomogram was clinically useful. We have developed a reliable nomogram for determining the prognosis and treatment outcomes of ILC. The new model facilitates the choosing of superior medical examinations and the optimizing of therapeutic regimens with cooperation among oncologists.
