For patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) following hemorrhagic infarction (HI)/hemorrhage transformation (HT) and complicated with venous thrombosis, the management of anticoagulation is controversial. Our study intends to explore the safety and effectiveness of using low-dose of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) to treat NVAF patients with HI (or HT) and complicated with venous thrombosis. Between January 2018 and January 2019, NVAF related acute ischemic stroke patients with HT/HI, hospitalized in the department of neurology or rehabilitation in our hospital, are enrolled retrospectively. ⋯ However, in the process of anticoagulant therapy, we should follow-up head computed tomography/magnetic resonance imaging frequently, as well as D-dimer values, limb vascular ultrasound. Besides, the changes of symptoms and signs should be focused to judge the symptomatic bleeding or recurrent stroke. Furthermore, it is better to adjust anticoagulant drug dosage according to specific conditions.

Neonatal Kawasaki disease: Case report and literature review.
Kawasaki Disease (KD) is a self-limiting and acute systemic vasculitis of childhood that leads to coronary artery abnormality in about 25% of untreated cases. KD is extremely rare in neonates. The purpose of this paper is to explore the clinical features and diagnosis and treatment of Neonatal Kawasaki Disease for early identification. ⋯ Neonatal Kawasaki disease is extremely rare, and its clinical manifestation is not typical and easy to be missed. If not treated early, it will potentially give rise to coronary artery aneurysms or expansion, ischemic heart disease, and sudden death. Early diagnosis and treatment are very important.

The effect of coagulation factors in 2019 novel coronavirus patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
The role of coagulation dysfunction in Severe Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is inconsistent. We aimed to explore the impact of coagulation dysfunction amongst patients with COVID-19. ⋯ Presence of coagulation dysfunction might be associated with COVID-19 severity, and coagulopathy might be associated with mortality. Coagulation markers including PT, fibrin and D-dimer may imply the progression of COVID-19. This illuminates the necessity of effectively monitoring coagulation function for preventing COVID-19-related coagulopathy, especially in severe patients. For the obvious heterogeneity, the quality of the evidence is compromised. Future rigorous randomized controlled trials that assess the correlation between coagulation and COVID-19 are needed.

Methotrexate can prevent cardiovascular events in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: An updated meta-analysis.
The incidence of cardiovascular events (CVEs) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is higher than that in people without RA. This may be because inflammation promotes the progression of atherosclerosis. Anti-inflammatory drugs might reduce the occurrence of CVEs in patients with RA. Methotrexate (MTX) is a conventional synthetic anti-rheumatic drug that is widely used in the treatment of RA. We performed a meta-analysis to determine whether MTX can prevent CVEs in RA patients. Then, we discussed the possibility of using MTX to prevent recurred CVEs in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). ⋯ MTX can prevent CVEs in RA patients, but there is not sufficient evidence for using MTX to treat patients with CHD.

The value of caudate lobectomy in hilar cholangiocarcinoma treatment: A meta-analysis.
To discuss the value of caudate lobectomy in hilar cholangiocarcinoma (HCCA) treatment. ⋯ Combining caudate lobectomy can significantly increase the incidence of radical resection of HCCA and the postoperative survival time. The morbidity and mortality were not increased after the operation. Thus, caudate lobectomy should be included when performing partial hepatectomy for HCCA.
