Men who have sex with men (MSM) are the focus group of acquired immune deficiency syndrome intervention, because of the impact of social concepts, they suffer from a lot of social discrimination, and mental health problems are more prominent. Depression is prevalent in Chinese MSM. The aim of this systematic review is to systematically assess the current evidence on factors associated with depression among Chinese MSM. ⋯ The conclusion of the systematic review and meta-analysis will provide clinical evidence for the related factors and prevention and treatment measures of depression among Chinese MSM.

Prediction of age and sex from paranasal sinus images using a deep learning network.
This study was conducted to develop a convolutional neural network (CNN)-based model to predict the sex and age of patients by identifying unique unknown features from paranasal sinus (PNS) X-ray images. We employed a retrospective study design and used anonymized patient imaging data. Two CNN models, adopting ResNet-152 and DenseNet-169 architectures, were trained to predict sex and age groups (20-39, 40-59, 60+ years). ⋯ CAM suggested that the maxillary sinus and the periodontal area were primary factors in identifying age groups. Our deep learning model could predict sex and age based on PNS X-ray images. Therefore, it can assist in reducing the risk of patient misidentification in clinics.

Functional dyspepsia (FD) is a common functional gastrointestinal disease with a high prevalence. However, due to the limitations of conventional Western treatments, such as acid suppressants, prokinetics, Helicobacter pylori eradication treatment, and antidepressants, the popularity of complementary and alternative medicine, such as acupuncture, is steadily increasing. We describe the methods that will be used to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture as add-on therapies to conventional Western medications in patients with FD. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/MXREN (https://osf.io/mxren).

Allergic rhinitis and dental-supporting tissue diseases in children.
The etiology of dental-supporting tissue diseases in children is multi factorial and not merely related to oral hygiene. Therefore, in the present study, we investigated the relationship between children <18 years old with allergic rhinitis (AR) and the risk of dental-supporting tissue diseases. Data from the National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) of Taiwan were used to conduct a retrospective longitudinal cohort study. ⋯ The AR to non-AR HRs of these inflammatory dental diseases were particularly higher in children <6 years old and in boys. The HRs of periodontal, pulp, and periapical diseases were greatest in those with >5 AR-related medical visits/year (5.57, 95% CI: 5.50 to 5.56; 4.06, 95% CI: 4.00 to 4.12, respectively). Children with AR had a greater risk of inflammatory dental-supporting tissue diseases, particularly those <6 years old with primary teeth, boys, and those with severe persistent AR.
