Endometrial carcinoma is a prevalent form of cancer. In fact, its incidence ranks fourth among European and North American females. Moreover, it is the most common gynecological malignant disease. Laparotomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, total abdominal hysterectomy, etc were common methods adopted in conventional open surgery. Recent developments in laparoscopic surgery (LPS) has made it more effective. The present study aims to compare the outcomes between LPS and a conventional open surgical procedure to treat stage II endometrial carcinoma patients. ⋯ This study will conduct a meta-analysis to compare the clinical efficacy of LPS and conventional open surgery in the treatment of stage II endometrial carcinoma.

The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy and safety of acupuncture treatment (AT) or acupuncture plus conventional medicine (CM) versus CM alone using a meta-analysis of all published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). ⋯ Acupuncture may be effective and safe for treatment of NAFLD. However, due to insufficient methodological quality and sample size, further high-quality studies are needed.

The present network meta-analysis was conducted to perform an indirect comparison among ramucirumab, regorafenib, and cabozantinib in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progressed on sorafenib treatment. ⋯ The present network meta-analysis revealed that there might be no statistical difference observed in the indirect comparison of PFS, OS, ORR, or DCR among regorafenib, cabozantinib, or ramucirumab in advanced HCC patients with elevated AFP (400 ng/mL or higher). However, in patients with low-level AFP (lower than 400 ng/mL), regorafenib might be associated with significant superiority in OS, compared to placebo, which need further investigation in clinical practice.

The efficacy and safety of Yijinjing exercise in the adjuvant treatment of ankylosing spondylitis: A protocol of randomized controlled trial.
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease with high disability rate. Conventional treatment regimens have long medication cycles and are associated with adverse reactions. Therapeutic exercise is also considered to be an effective treatment for AS. Evidence suggests that Yijinjing as a low-energy exercise has advantages in adjuncting AS, but there is a lack of standard clinical studies to evaluate its efficacy and safety. ⋯ This study evaluated the clinical efficacy of Yijinjing exercise in the adjuvant treatment of AS, and the results of our study will provide a reference for the clinical use of Yijinjing exercise as an effective complementary alternative for the treatment of AS.

Recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after liver transplantation (LT) remains a major therapeutic challenge. In recent years, new molecular-targeted therapies, such as cabozantinib, have been approved for the treatment of advanced HCC. However, clinical experience with these new drugs in the treatment of HCC in the LT setting is very limited. ⋯ In conclusion, this report highlights the tolerability and effectiveness of cabozantinib for the treatment of HCC recurrence after LT. We show that our patient with a late recurrence of HCC after LT benefitted from intensive multimodal therapy concepts, including surgery, RFA, and systemic therapy.
