Type 2 diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is one of the most common and harmful chronic complications in clinical practice, and there is no reliable and targeted treatment plan at present. As a classic complementary and alternative therapy, evidence have shown that warm acupuncture has advantages in the treatment of type 2 DKD. However, there is still a lack of high-quality and long-term follow-up randomized controlled trials of warm acupuncture in the treatment of type 2 DKD. ⋯ This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of warm acupuncture in the treatment of DKD, and the results of this trial will provide clinical evidence for the treatment of type 2 DKD.

Gastric cancer is a common and lethal malignancy worldwide. It lacks specific clinical symptoms during the early stages, and when detected, the optimal surgical opportunity is lost. Chemotherapy alone offers limited benefits in advanced inoperable disease or postoperative recurrence. Gastric cancer is a heterogeneous tumor involving multiple gene regulations; thus, multi-target combination therapy is the trend in research. The c-MET protein is a tyrosine kinase receptor belonging to the MET family, encoded by the MET proto-oncogene. After binding with its ligand, the hepatocyte growth factor, MET activates cellular signaling pathways in proliferation, motility, migration, and invasion. In addition, it may be abnormally activated in cancers via mutation, amplification, and protein overexpression. ⋯ This case report provides evidence for MET tyrosine kinase inhibitors in treating gastric cancer patients with MET gene amplification. It also shows that MET detection is a target in gastric cancer.

Uterine contraction pain is a common postpartum condition that often plagues mothers and can interfere with feeding and normal life for young children. Many investigations have demonstrated that moxibustion has certain advantages in the treatment of uterine contraction pain, but the effectiveness, safety, and advantages of various methods have not been confirmed by high-quality meta-analyses. This study will conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the safety and effectiveness in moxibustion, in order to provide a reference for further clinical treatment for uterine contraction pain. ⋯ The results of this study will provide evidence to support whether moxibustion can effectively intervene in uterine contraction pain.

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is a serious and fatal heart disease with one of the highest mortality rates in the world. In some countries, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is the preferred reperfusion strategy after AMI, but it cannot achieve safe and effective treatment of AMI after PCI remains a challenging clinical problem. The potential of oral Chinese patent medicines to treat AMI after PCI has been demonstrated, but which type of oral Chinese patent medicines may be preferred remains controversial. The aim of this network meta-analysis was to investigate the efficacy and safety of multiple oral Chinese patent medicines in the treatment of AMI after PCI. ⋯ CRD42020188065.

Wound infection (WI) is a disease in which pathogenic bacteria invade and multiply in a wound after trauma or surgery, causing a systemic inflammatory response. WI triggers an immune response in the body, resulting in inflammation and tissue damage, as well as slowing down the healing process. The traditional Chinese medicine prescription of Wuwei Xiaodu Drink (WWXDD) has been widely used in clinical practice with good results. However, there is no high-level evidence to support this result. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of WWXDD in the treatment of WI. ⋯ This research provides a trusted clinical foundation for the treatment of WI with WWXDD.
