Vascular senescence is the basic factor of many cardiovascular diseases. Vascular endothelium, as a protective barrier between blood and vascular wall, plays an important role in maintaining the integrity and homeostasis of vascular system. Endothelial cell senescence is an important pathological change of vascular senescence. ⋯ Many research results showed that the mechanism is various, but the systematic elucidation still lacks. Western medicine has little choice in the prevention and treatment of endothelial cell senescence, and the control effect is also limited, while Chinese medicine makes up for the deficiency in this regard. The main mechanisms of vascular endothelial cell aging and the related research progress of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of vascular endothelial aging in recent years were summarized in this paper to provide reference for the research of traditional Chinese medicine in anti-vascular aging and the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Obesity is a global epidemic. Since 1975, the global obesity rate has almost tripled. Although many systematic reviews and clinical trials have shown that traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) can effectively treat obesity, the effectiveness and safety of different academic schools of TCM in treating obesity have not been systematically evaluated. ⋯ The purpose of this study is to summarize and evaluate the effectiveness and safety of different academic schools of TCM in improving and treating obese patients from clinical trials, so as to provide more options for obesity treatment.

Meta Analysis
Prognostic value of metformin in cancers: An updated meta-analysis based on 80 cohort studies.
Experiments have shown that metformin can inhibit cancer cell growth, but clinical observations have been inconsistent, so we pooled the currently available data to evaluate the impact of metformin on cancer survival and progression. ⋯ Based on cohort studies, metformin therapy has potential survival benefits for patients with malignancy, especially with the greatest benefits seen in breast cancer on overall survival, progression-free survival, and cancer-specific survival. And metformin also showed potential benefits in cancer-specific survival in colorectal and prostate cancer.

Transcription factor YY1 is an important regulator of many pathways in tumor cell growth, prognosis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, invasion, and resistance to chemotherapy. These effects lead to upregulation of YY1 associated with poor outcomes in many tumors. ⋯ YY1 can regulate lncRNA, and serve as the regulatory molecule of YY1, and lncRNA and YY1 even form a feedback loop. In this review, we summarize the relevant mechanisms of the interaction between YY1 and noncoding RNAs during tumor progression, which will provide a possible theoretical basis for the clinical treatment of tumors.

Review Case Reports
Bladder triangle amyloidosis: A case report and literature review.
Amyloidosis is a group of benign lesions characterized by extracellular deposition of amyloid proteins. Amyloidosis lesions can occur in various organs of the body, but rarely in the urinary system. Amyloidosis in the bladder trigone is extremely rare. ⋯ The clinical manifestations of bladder amyloidosis are nonspecific, and under cystoscopy can be easily confused with bladder tumors. Accurate diagnosis of bladder amyloidosis relies on histopathology. Transurethral resection of bladder tumors or partial cystectomy is an option for surgical treatment; the latter should be performed if the ureteral opening is involved.
