Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have shown efficacy for the treatment of various kinds of malignant tumors. However, ICIs can cause immune-related adverse events, such as arthritis. Nevertheless, the treatment of ICI-induced arthritis has not been established yet. Here we report a case of ICI-induced polyarthritis successfully treated using sarilumab and monitored using joint ultrasonography. ⋯ Sarilumab may serve as a good treatment option for treating refractory ICI-induced polyarthritis. Joint ultrasonography may contribute to the evaluation of ICI-induced polyarthritis and monitoring the effects of treatments.

There is a dearth of literature on health outcomes for Black people who identify as deaf or hard of hearing (DHH). Black DHH individuals generally experience at least 2 types of oppression, racism and audism, both of which contribute to health disparities within the Black and Deaf communities. To understand the prevalence of health outcomes in a Black DHH adult sample and compare this to a Black hearing sample. ⋯ Black DHH adults are at disparity for certain medical conditions compared to the general Black adult population. Future directions are needed to ensure that anti-racist policies include consideration of people with sensory disabilities. Inclusion of cultural and language needs of Black DHH patients in cultural humility training for healthcare providers is recommended to address health disparity in this population.

The value of protocol liver graft biopsies with good liver function was evaluated in patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) or primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). A total of 250 protocol liver biopsy reports from 182 PSC and PBC patients were compared. Overall histopathological findings and those leading to changes in immunosuppression therapy were retrospectively analyzed. ⋯ Mild histopathological findings were frequently found in the protocol biopsies despite the normal biochemistry. PBC patients had more histological abnormalities than those transplanted due to PSC; however, PBC patients had longer follow-up times. Immunosuppression therapy could be safely increased or decreased according to protocol biopsy findings after multidisciplinary meeting discussions.

Myxoid liposarcoma (MLS) is an extremely rare tumor of the salivary gland and it arises from undifferentiated pluripotent mesenchymal cells. We report a rare case of a primary MLS in the parotid gland. ⋯ In this report, we report a rare case of primary MLS mimicking a cystic lesion of the parotid gland.

To investigate the relationship between lipid accumulation index and cerebral hemodynamic integral value in 3264 people undergoing physical examination, so as to analyze the correlation between different lipid accumulation product index (LAP) levels and stroke risk factors. ⋯ There is a positive correlation between LAP and CVHI, the higher the LAP, the higher the risk of CVHI abnormality, which should be concerned seriously.
