To screen the prognosis-related autophagy genes of female lung adenocarcinoma by the transcriptome data and clinical data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. In this study, screen meaningful female lung adenocarcinoma differential genes in TCGA, use univariate Cox proportional regression model to select genes related to prognosis, and establish the best risk model. In this study, Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes were applied for carrying out bioinformatics analysis of gene function. ⋯ At last, there is autophagy genes differentially expressed among various clinicopathological parameters: ATG4A, BAK1, CCR2, DLC1, ERO1A, FKBP1A, ITGA6. The risk score can be used as an independent prognostic indicator for female patients with lung adenocarcinoma. The autophagy genes ITGA6, ERO1A, FKBP1A, BAK1, CCR2, FADD, EDEM1, ATG10, ATG4A, DLC1, VAMP7, ST13 were identified as prognostic genes in female lung adenocarcinoma, which may be the targets of treatment in the future.

Infections with Sphingomonas paucimobilis are rarely described in the literature and can be community-acquired or associated with healthcare, especially in patients with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes mellitus), malignancies, or other causes of immunosuppression, except in people without comorbidities. We present the case of a patient with diabetes mellitus and hypertension diagnosed during a routine evaluation, with splenic abscess caused by S paucimobilis. Our literature search revealed no other case report of splenic abscess caused only by S paucimobilis. ⋯ S paucimobilis, a low-virulence bacterium, can cause community-acquired or nosocomial infections. Visceral localizations, usually symptomatic, can evolve rapidly, and the diagnosis is associated with complications or, as in our case, with careful investigation of some changes in laboratory investigations.

Case Reports
Fetal intracranial hemorrhage and maternal vitamin K deficiency induced by total parenteral nutrition: A case report.
Fetal brain hemorrhage is rare. It is caused mainly by maternal trauma or fetal coagulation disorder, but in some cases, vitamin K deficiency may be the cause. ⋯ This case demonstrates that even relatively short-term total parenteral nutrition can cause severe fetal brain hemorrhage. Vitamin K supplementation is required for mothers who are expected to be vitamin K deficient, especially if they are on total parenteral nutrition for more than 3 weeks.

Case Reports
Ultrasound evaluation of diaphragm motion in BAG-3 myofibrillar myopathy: A case report.
Mutations in Bcl-2-associated athanogene-3 (BAG-3) can cause a rare subtype of myofibrillar myopathies (MFMs), characterized by progressive muscle weakness, cardiomyopathy, and severe respiratory insufficiency in childhood. Little is known about diaphragmatic function in BAG-3 MFM. To our knowledge, this is the first case report of detailed evaluation of diaphragmatic function with ultrasound in BAG-3 MFM. ⋯ This case provides more clinical information for this rare disease which may cause severe diaphragm pathological damage leading to respiratory failure in BAG3 MFM and a future study with a systematic evaluation of a greater number of patients will be necessary to characterize this population.

Intraspinal gout tophus in the lumbar vertebral canal associated with gouty arthritis is rare. We present 2 cases with the first manifestations of a sequestrated intervertebral disc and an extradural tumor, and histopathologically proven to be gouty deposits in the lumbar vertebral canal. ⋯ Definitive diagnosis of intraspinal extradural gout tophus, mimicking a sequestrated intervertebral disc or an extradural tumor, may be difficult. The initial suspicion of intraspinal gouty deposits, based on the diagnostic/management algorithm, may effectively avoid incorrect diagnosis via a less invasive procedure than explorative laminectomy.
