Meta Analysis
Meta-analysis of the curative effect of sacral nerve magnetic stimulation on neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury.
The curative effect of sacral nerve magnetic stimulation on the neurogenic bladder (NB) after spinal cord injury (SCI) is unclear. This study made a meta-analysis of the curative effect of sacral nerve magnetic stimulation on the NB after SCI and put forward a theoretical basis for the clinical treatment of this disease. ⋯ Combined with functional magnetic stimulation of the sacral nerve, routine treatment is superior to routine treatment in improving the clinical symptoms of patients with NB after SCI.

The impact of 3 different dietary interventions on overweight or obese adults: A network meta-analysis.
This network meta-analysis aims to investigate and compare the effectiveness of 3 dietary interventions - Mediterranean, ketogenic, and low-fat diet - on overweight and obese adults, with a comparison to traditional low-calorie diet. ⋯ The ketogenic diet was identified as the most effective intervention for reducing BW, BMI, and WC in the studied dietary comparisons. It consistently showed superior outcomes, ranking highest in effectiveness among the 4 evaluated dietary approaches. Nevertheless, additional high-quality randomized controlled trials are necessary to validate these findings.

Acupuncture combined with opioid for treatment of lung cancer-related pain: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Many individuals diagnosed with lung cancer suffer from tremendous pain, and it is crucial to implement more effective measures to assist these patients in alleviating their pain. The present study utilizes a meta-analysis to evaluate the safety and efficacy of acupuncture combined with opioids for treating lung cancer-related pain in patients. ⋯ The current evidence indicates that combining acupuncture with opioid analgesics is superior to using opioid analgesics alone for managing lung cancer-related pain. Additionally, this combination therapy has fewer adverse reactions.

Various oral anticoagulants have been used for stroke prevention in older patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). However, the optimal anticoagulants for stroke prevention has not yet been developed. We performed a systematic review and network meta-analysis to determine the optimal instructions. ⋯ Direct oral anticoagulants were found to have lower rates of thromboembolic events compared to VKAs in older patients with AF. Apixaban 5 mg, Dabigatran 110 mg, Dabigatran 150 mg, Edoxaban 30 mg, and Edoxaban 60 mg were also associated with a reduction of intracranial hemorrhage than VKA.

Influence of greater occipital nerve block on the relief of acute migraine: A meta-analysis.
Greater occipital nerve (GON) block may help relieve acute migraine, and this meta-analysis aimed to investigate the influence of GON block on pain relief of acute migraine. ⋯ GON block intervention may be able to alleviate pain intensity for acute migraine patients.
