Prevalence of cognitive impairment and its associated factors in middle-aged and elderly people in Anhui Province, China: An observational study.
To understand the prevalence of cognitive impairment (CI) in middle-aged and elderly individuals in Anhui Province and to develop a CI risk prediction model. From May to June 2022, a multistage, stratified cluster-sampling method was used to select 3200 middle-aged and elderly people over 45 years old in Anhui Province for a questionnaire survey, and the Chinese version of the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) was used to assess cognitive function. SPSS 25.0 was used for univariate and multivariate analyses, and R software was used to establish and validate the nomogram. ⋯ The Hosmer-Lemeshow test suggested that the model had good goodness-of-fit, and the decision-curve evaluation nomogram had a high benefit within the threshold, which had a certain clinical importance. The prevalence rate of CI among middle-aged and elderly individuals in Anhui Province was 12.6%. Female sex, elderly age, family history, low educational status, current smoking status, sleep disorders, hypertension, stroke, and diabetes were shown to be risk factors for CI, while exercise was shown to be a protective factor.

Defining of the nasal anthropometry on facial computed tomography in subjects with epilepsy and healthy subjects.
Epilepsy is a frequent chronic and genetic brain disease. In diagnose of genetic and craniofacial disease, the face is one of the gold standard phenotypic features. This study was carried out to determine the angle and linear measurements of face region in Turkish healthy and epilepsy subjects, and to apply a feature selection method to identify the most important attributes that affect epilepsy decision. ⋯ Gender related changes were found in only nasal pyramidal angle nasal root and nasal bone of healthy subjects, in nasal pyramidal angle nasal bone, nasal bone length, nasofrontal angle of epilepsy subjects. We can say epilepsy may affect the some facial parameters and these, although anthropometric measurements are affected by age and gender parameters. Comprehensive knowledge of this region's normal references ranges is essential for planning, proper selection of silicone implants or osteotomy determining the limitations of the surgical field and minimizing the risk of complication and performing aesthetic facial surgery or rhinoplasty in epilepsy patients.

To investigate the effects of pretreatment with long-acting gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH-a) before frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) on pregnancy outcomes in patients after minimal-mild (stages I-II) peritoneal endometriosis surgery. A retrospective cohort study was performed from March 2018 to May 2019. Overall, 274 patients met inclusion criteria of undergoing FET after minimal/mild peritoneal endometriosis surgery. ⋯ However, group A2's CPR and LBR were significantly higher than group B's (64.9% and 55.4% vs 49.2% and 40.0%, respectively; χ2 = 4.560, P = .023 and χ2 = 4.375, P = .026, respectively). Logistic regression analysis showed that GnRH-a pretreatment (1 or 2 doses) had no significant effect on CPR and LBR compared with the HRT-only group. Patients with minimal-mild (stages I-II) peritoneal endometriosis surgery may not require GnRH-a pretreatment before FET.

Analysis of influencing factors of risk perception among emergency nurses in China: An observational study.
To understand the current saturation of emergency nurses' risk perception and its influencing factors, and to explore the correlation between emergency nurses' risk perception and nurse's safety behavior. This study is a cross-sectional study. From January 2024 to February 2024 using the questionnaire star online survey method. ⋯ Age, marriage, education level, years of work experience, professional title, duties. engagement type, monthly income level, participation in teaching work, safety training, and no adverse events were the influencing factors of risk perception. The research results emphasize that risk perception of emergency nurses has a positive prediction effect on safe behavior. It is suggested that nursing managers should optimize nursing workflow and human resource allocation, strategically add occupational risk training to vocational training, and strengthen nurses' safety behaviors.

In patients with schizophrenia, Diankuang Mengxing Decoction with antipsychotics is one of the treatments for it. However, little information is available regarding the difference between the therapeutic effect of Diankuang Mengxing Decoction with antipsychotics and other treatments. Systematic evaluation is conducted to assess the efficacy and safety of Diankuang Mengxing Decoction and other antipsychotics, which are used to treat schizophrenia. ⋯ The combination of Diankuang Mengxing Decoction with different antipsychotics can improve the overall prognosis of patients with schizophrenia; Diankuang Mengxing Decoction combined olanzapine, a dosage of 400 mL/d and a duration of 4 weeks/30 days being the best in this regard, by alleviating the symptoms and diminishing the disorder's adverse effects. To build on this work, more large-sample, multi-center, and high-quality clinical studies in the future would help to further validate our findings.
