To explore the clinical efficacy and pharmacological mechanism analysis of Xubi capsule in the treatment of patients with liver and kidney deficiency osteoarthritis (OA). In this single-center retrospective study, 120 patients with liver and kidney deficiency OA admitted to the Hangzhou Fuyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to May 2022 were included, and patients were divided into the intervention group (n = 60) and the control group (n = 60) according to their treatment. The control group was treated with Ibuprofen, while the intervention group was treated with Xubi capsule combined with Ibuprofen. ⋯ A total of 119 gene ontology cellular components were significantly enriched. The combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine adopted in this study can effectively treat patients with liver and kidney deficiency OA and relieve the joint pain of patients. In a multicomponent and multitarget approach, the Xubi capsule breaks through the limitations of traditional nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and has good clinical application value.

Manual breathing assist technique (MBAT) is a common physical therapy technique used to facilitate airway clearance and improve ventilation and oxygenation. The effects during and immediately after intervention in individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are unknown. This study aimed to investigate the acute effects and potential mechanisms of MBAT on lung volume, dyspnea, and oxygenation in individuals with COPD. ⋯ MBAT in patients with COPD had acute physiological effects in reducing dyspnea by facilitating expiration and decreasing the recruitment of accessory respiratory muscles. MBAT may help individuals with COPD reduce dyspnea before exercise therapy in a pulmonary rehabilitation program.

Risk-factor analysis of the proximal tibia morphology for secondary ipsilateral injury after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: A retrospective cross-sectional study.
Many studies have reported the risk factors associated with primary anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. However, few studies have focused on the bony morphology of secondary ipsilateral injury after ACL reconstruction. This study aimed to investigate the morphological risk factors of the proximal tibia contributing to secondary ipsilateral injury after ACL reconstruction. ⋯ The cutoff value of the LTPS was 8.8°, with a sensitivity of 91.7% and a specificity of 81.2%. The LTPS could be a unique predictor of secondary ipsilateral injury after ACL reconstruction. Orthopedists should implement effective measurements during primary reconstruction when the LTPS is >8.8°.

Acute kidney injury associated with thrombotic microangiopathy: Characterization, prevalence, and prognosis.
Acute kidney injury (AKI) is an important feature of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA). This present study aimed to describe and analyze the characterization, prevalence, and prognosis in TMA patients with AKI. This study was an observational, retrospective patient cohort study in which patients were classified as AKI and non-AKI groups. ⋯ In addition, higher total bilirubin (P = .011) and age (P = .022) were significantly correlated with increasing risk of in-hospital mortality. Survival analysis by Kaplan-Meier revealed a significantly poor prognosis predicted by the AKI group (P = .045). Acute kidney injury could be commonly seen in TMA pneumonia and was related to a higher mortality rate.

Current status and trends of urinary incontinence research in recent 10 years based on VOSviewer visualized analysis: An observational study.
Urinary incontinence (UI) is prevalent and imposes significant social and economic burdens. This study reviews the literature on UI, assesses the current research status, and projects future trends. To visualize and analyze UI-related research, summarize and generalize the knowledge framework of the global UI field, and explore the current state of research and emerging trends, we conducted a comprehensive search of UI-related studies from 2014 to 2024 using the Web of Science Core Collection. ⋯ This study demonstrates that UI research is more advanced in Europe and North America and that Neurourology and Urodynamics is the most influential journal in the field. In addition, epidemiology, treatment, and male UI will continue to be prominent topics. Our study contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the current state of UI research and provides insights into future research directions in the field.
