To evaluate the efficacy of intranasal acupuncture as a treatment for allergic rhinitis (AR) through a comprehensive review. ⋯ The findings suggest that intranasal acupuncture serves as an effective intervention for AR, particularly in alleviating both nasal and nonnasal symptoms and enhancing quality of life. However, these positive outcomes should be approached with caution, and further high-quality and extensive studies to substantiate these results are warranted.

To systematically evaluate the effects of psychological interventions on the quality of life and rehabilitation efficacy of patients with poststroke anxiety and poststroke depression. ⋯ Psychological interventions can improve the ability of patients with stroke combined with anxiety and depression to perform their daily lives, improve their quality of life, reduce their levels of depression and anxiety, and improve functional impairment. V-V ECMO for severe Chlamydia psittaci pneumonia presenting with sudden cardiac arrest: A case report and literature review.
Psittacosis, also known as parrot fever, is an infectious disease caused by Chlamydia psittaci, which can lead to C psittaci pneumonia. Clinical manifestations are highly nonspecific, which can vary from asymptomatic infection to severe pneumonia and even death. ⋯ This case prompts that metagenomic next-generation sequencing is a feasible diagnostic tool for psittacosis, which can rapidly worsen and even cause sudden cardiac arrest. V-V ECMO might be a viable emergency therapeutic option.

Randomized Controlled Trial
The effect of ertugliflozin in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus: A randomized controlled trial.
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a chronic liver disease associated with liver inflammation, fibrosis, and cirrhosis and is associated with a greater risk of hepatocarcinoma. Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a persistent and progressive form of NAFLD. Recent evidence suggested that ertugliflozin, a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor (SGLT2), suppresses NAFLD development in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The objective of this study was to determine the impact of ertugliflozin on improving NAFLD in patients with T2DM and the function of liver enzymes. ⋯ The present study revealed that the concomitant use of ertugliflozin has favorable effects on liver enzymes, as it decreases liver fat intake and reduces complications in patients with NAFLD-associated T2DM. However, more in-depth studies will be required to observe every aspect of ertugliflozin.

Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells combined with autologous platelet-rich plasma for lower extremity venous ulcers: A case report and literature review.
Nonhealing ulcers are difficult to manage because they deviate from the normal wound healing process. Conventional therapy cannot achieve satisfactory therapeutic effects. To verify the effectiveness of combined treatment with human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUMSCs) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for nonhealing ulcers, we studied a patient with left lower limb venous ulcer (LEVU) treated with combined injection therapy. ⋯ hUMSCs can improve wound healing through re-epithelialization, increased angiogenesis, and granulation tissue formation. PRP has also been suggested to promote wound healing through the secretion of various nutritional factors. The combination of hUMSCs and PRP has a mutually reinforcing effect, which may achieve a 1 + 1 > 2 effect. Therefore, the combination of hUMSCs and PRP may be a safe and effective treatment option for LEVU.
