Meta Analysis
Efficacy of intravenous acetaminophen on postoperative shivering: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
Postoperative shivering (POS) is a common and vital complication after anesthesia, which may result in serious consequences and uncomfortable experiences. Acetaminophen has been used to treat fever and mild to moderate pain. However, there is not enough evidence to prove its advantage for POS. This meta-analysis aimed to explore the prophylactic use of acetaminophen as a valid agent for POS. ⋯ Our present meta-analysis demonstrates that the intravenous prophylactic infusion of acetaminophen may prevent POS, and the results may provide new evidence to expand the clinical value of acetaminophen in addition to its routine usage.

Meta Analysis
Role of anagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor, in managing type 2 diabetes: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
No comprehensive meta-analysis has examined and consolidated the effectiveness and safety of anagliptin in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D). To bridge this knowledge gap, we undertook this meta-analysis. ⋯ Anagliptin positively affects glucose control and is safe for managing T2D. Its low-density lipoprotein cholesterol-lowering effect warrants further investigation.

Review Case Reports
Autoimmune glial fibrillary acidic protein astrocytopathy with anti-NMDAR and sulfatide-IgG-positive encephalitis overlap syndrome: A case report and literature review.
Autoimmune glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) astrocytopathy is a rare autoimmune disease of the central nervous system that affects the meninges, brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. GFAP astrocytopathy can coexist with a variety of antibodies, which is known as overlap syndrome. Anti-NMDAR-positive encephalitis overlap syndrome has been reported; however, encephalitis overlap syndrome with both anti-NMDAR and sulfatide-IgG positivity has not been reported. ⋯ Autoimmune GFAP astrocytopathy with nonspecific symptoms is rarely reported and is easy to be missed and misdiagnosed. GFAP astrocytopathy should be considered in patients with fever, headache, disturbance of consciousness, convulsions, and central infections that do not respond to antibacterial and viral agents. Autoimmune encephalopathy-related antibody testing should be performed as soon as possible, early diagnosis should be confirmed, and immunomodulatory therapy should be administered promptly.

Review Case Reports
Postmenopausal giant uterine adenomyoma with adipose metaplasia: A case report and literature review.
Uterine adenomyomas (UAs) are common benign tumors, usually not exceeding 280 g or the weight of the uterus at 12 weeks gestation. Postmenopausal giant UAs of diameter larger than 20 cm are rare, as well as steatosis, but curable by surgical excision. Few cases of postmenopausal giant UAs have been reported. ⋯ Pathology revealed adenomyoma with adipose metaplasia. The patient recovered well and was discharged on postoperative day 7 with satisfactory follow-up.

Ocular surface homeostasis plays a vital role in maintaining of eye health. Dry eye disease is one of the prominent and typical manifestations of disruption of ocular surface homeostasis that leads to the worsening of ocular surface homeostasis that leads to the worsening of ocular surface disease when it interacts with other pathogenic factors. However, disruption in ocular surface homeostasis in children is often overlooked because of the current methods of assessing ocular surface homeostasis. ⋯ In addition, children's expressive abilities were weaker. Therefore, dry eye in children is often ignored by doctors and parents, and clinicians should pay more attention to the protection of ocular surface homeostasis when treating children with these diseases. Therefore, there is a need for diagnostic criteria for dry eye disease specific to children.
