Review Meta Analysis
A meta-analysis of efficacy and safety of antibodies targeting PD-1/PD-L1 in treatment of advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer.
Nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC)-patients treated with standard chemotherapy experienced progression rapidly. A novel therapy based on programed death 1 (PD-1)/programed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors showed an increasing potential in several malignancies including advanced NSCLC. ⋯ The PD-1/PD-L1 therapy significantly prolonged the OS and improved the ORR, simultaneously lowering the treatment-related adverse effect events versus docetaxel.

Meta Analysis Comparative Study
Comparing efficacy and safety of 2 methods of tranexamic acid administration in reducing blood loss following total knee arthroplasty: A meta-analysis.
The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were to gather data to evaluate the efficacy and safety of topical tranexamic acid (TXA) versus intravenous (IV) TXA for blood loss after a total knee arthroplasty (TKA). ⋯ Topical TXA has similar efficacy for blood loss control to IV TXA without sacrificing safety in TKA. However, the dose of topical TXA and IV TXA is different, thus, optimal timing and dose of TXA are still needed to explore the maximum effect of TXA.

Meta Analysis
A Bayesian network meta-analysis of three different surgical procedures for the treatment of humeral shaft fractures.
The optimal surgical procedure for humeral shaft fractures remains a matter of debate. We aimed to establish the optimum procedure by performing a Bayesian network meta-analysis. ⋯ The current evidence indicates that MIPO is the optimum choice in the treatment of humeral shaft fractures and that ORPO is superior to IMN.

Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) as a hypoxia-regulator plays a vital role in alternative metabolic pathways of cancer cells. Numerous studies have assessed the prognostic value of elevated pretreatment LDH in malignant mesothelioma (MM). However, the results have been largely inconsistent. Hence, the aim of current study was to investigate the prognostic value of pretreatment LDH levels in patients with MM by performing a meta-analysis of relevant studies. ⋯ A negative association was observed between high LDH levels and poor overall survival in the current study. Our findings suggest that pretreatment LDH level could serve as a useful predictor of prognosis in patients with malignant mesothelioma.

Randomized Controlled Trial
The effects of hyaluronic acid on hemiplegic shoulder injury and pain in patients with subacute stroke: A randomized controlled pilot study.
Hemiplegic shoulder pain (HSP) is one of the most common comorbidities in stroke patients with flaccid shoulders. The pain limits functional motor recovery and affects the activities of daily living after acute stroke. This study investigated the effects of hyaluronic acid (HA) injection on pain reduction and motor function in subacute stroke patients with HSP and injury. ⋯ Subacromial HA injection could result in positive effects on shoulder pain and shoulder abduction in subacute stroke patients with HSP and injury.
