Comparative StudyComparison of MRI Sequences in Whole-Body PET/MRI for Staging of Patients With High-Risk Prostate Cancer.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the diagnostic value of various MRI sequences used for whole-body (WB) 18F-fluorocholine (FCH) PET/MRI staging of patients with high-risk prostate cancer (PCa). ⋯ Metastases from prostate cancer are best detected at DWI or gadolinium-enhanced T1-weighted VIBE sequences. The most time-efficient sequence with the highest lesion detection rate and conspicuity is gadolinium-enhanced T1-weighted VIBE.

ReviewNew Frontiers: An Update on Computer-Aided Diagnosis for Breast Imaging in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
The purpose of this article is to compare traditional versus machine learning-based computer-aided detection (CAD) platforms in breast imaging with a focus on mammography, to underscore limitations of traditional CAD, and to highlight potential solutions in new CAD systems under development for the future. ⋯ CAD development for breast imaging is undergoing a paradigm shift based on vast improvement of computing power and rapid emergence of advanced deep learning algorithms, heralding new systems that may hold real potential to improve clinical care.

ReviewArtificial Intelligence in Breast Imaging: Potentials and Limitations.
The purpose of this article is to discuss potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in breast imaging and limitations that may slow or prevent its adoption. ⋯ The algorithms of AI for workflow improvement and outcome analyses are advancing. Using imaging data of high quality and quantity, AI can support breast imagers in diagnosis and patient management, but AI cannot yet be relied on or be responsible for physicians' decisions that may affect survival. Education in AI is urgently needed for physicians.

Comparative StudyWhole-Body MRI: Comparison of Its Capability for TNM Staging of Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma With That of Coregistered PET/MRI, Integrated FDG PET/CT, and Conventional Imaging.
The purpose of this study was to compare the diagnostic accuracy of whole-body MRI, coregistered FDG PET/MRI, integrated FDG PET/CT, and conventional imaging examination including bone scintigraphy, contrast-enhanced brain MRI, and CT for malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) staging according to the new International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) system. ⋯ The diagnostic accuracy of whole-body MRI, FDG PET/MRI, and FDG PET/CT for TNM stage assessment based on the new IASLC MPM staging system is greater than that of conventional imaging examination.

Comparative StudyComparison of T2-Weighted Imaging, DWI, and Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI for Calculation of Prostate Cancer Index Lesion Volume: Correlation With Whole-Mount Pathology.
The objective of our study was to investigate the comparative effectiveness of different MRI sequences for the estimation of index lesion volume in patients with prostate cancer (PCa) compared with ground truth volume measured on whole-mount pathology. ⋯ DCE-MRI performed better than T2-weighted imaging and DWI for estimation of index PCa volume and therefore can be preferred over these other two sequences for volume estimation.
