Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyOxidative stress response to aerobic exercise: comparison of antioxidant supplements.
To compare the effects of two antioxidant formulas on biomarkers of oxidative stress before and after aerobic exercise. ⋯ These data suggest that V and FV supplementation for 2 wk can attenuate the rise in PC after 30 min of aerobic exercise, even after a 1-wk washout, without an impact on plasma MDA or 8-OHdG.

Comparative StudyComparison of modified Broström and Evans procedures in simulated lateral ankle injury.
The purpose of this study was to compare the modified Broström and Evans procedures for simulated lateral ankle instability in cadaveric lower extremities. ⋯ Both operations improved ankle-hindfoot stability, but neither was successful in restoring it to normal as determined with the ankle stability testing device. The Evans procedure improved stability at the expense of creating abnormal subtalar function. The Broström operation improved stability without excessively restricting subtalar movement, but was not effective in addressing the internal rotation laxity.
