Overweight status and weight control behaviors in adolescents: longitudinal and secular trends from 1999 to 2004.
This study examined 5-year longitudinal and secular trends in weight status and the use of healthy and unhealthy weight control behaviors in adolescents. ⋯ Overweight status and unhealthy weight control behaviors in adolescents are major public health concerns that warrant interventions addressing both problems.

Comparative StudyPhysical activity among Dutch workers--differences between occupations.
This study describes the total physical activity and the contribution of work to total physical activity among Dutch workers. The study was conducted in the Netherlands in the years 2000-2002. ⋯ Work is still an important source of total physical activity among workers. Based on the differences observed, branch-specific strategies to enhance work-related physical activity are recommended.

Randomized Controlled TrialInfluencing healthful food choices in school and home environments: results from the TEENS study.
The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of an intervention designed to increase the availability of fruits, vegetables and lower fat foods in homes and schools. This research is part of the TEENS study, a school-based intervention study. ⋯ Our results show mixed results for positively influencing adolescents' school and home environments.
