Comparative StudyPerceived constraints on physical exercise among obese and non-obese older people.
To examine what older obese people consider as constraints on their physical exercise and to determine whether these constraints can explain the differences in physical activity. ⋯ Results suggest that physical activity promotion among older obese people may be well received as long as it focuses on factors that enable participation in physical activity and takes into account their constraints on physical activity.

Are secondary data sources on the neighbourhood food environment accurate? Case-study in Glasgow, UK.
To assess the validity of a publicly available list of food stores through field observations of their existence, in order to contribute to research on neighbourhood food environments and health. ⋯ There was reasonable, but not perfect, agreement between the list of food premises and field observations, with nearly 1 in 9 of sampled foodstores not present on the ground. Since the use of inaccurate secondary data sources may affect estimates of relationships between the neighbourhood food environment and health, further work is required to establish the validity of such data in different contexts.

Greenspace access, use, and physical activity: understanding the effects of area deprivation.
To understand the patterning of greenspace provision and use by area deprivation, and determine how deprivation moderates relationships with physical activity. ⋯ The accessibility of greenspaces was better in more deprived areas but those residents had more negative perceptions and were less likely to use the greenspaces. Interventions may be most effective if they target the perceptions and needs of residents of deprived neighbourhoods.
