Meta Analysis Comparative StudyA dose-response meta-analysis of coffee consumption and bladder cancer.
A number of studies have examined the association between coffee consumption and risk of bladder cancer, but uncertainty about the dose-response relationship remains. ⋯ Although data from case-control studies suggested that coffee was a risk factor for bladder cancer, there was no conclusive evidence on this association because of inconsistencies between case-control and cohort studies.

Comparative StudyInequalities in usage of a public bicycle sharing scheme: socio-demographic predictors of uptake and usage of the London (UK) cycle hire scheme.
Cycling confers individual and population-level health benefits, but uptake is not always equitable across socio-demographic groups. We sought to examine inequalities in uptake and usage of London's Barclays Cycle Hire (BCH) scheme. ⋯ Females and residents in deprived areas are underrepresented among users of London's public bicycle sharing scheme. The scheme's planned expansion into more deprived areas has, however, the potential to create a more equitable uptake of cycling.

Comparative StudyHealthy lifestyle behaviors and all-cause mortality among adults in the United States.
To examine the links between three fundamental healthy lifestyle behaviors (not smoking, healthy diet, and adequate physical activity) and all-cause mortality in a national sample of adults in the United States. ⋯ Adults who do not smoke, consume a healthy diet, and engage in sufficient physical activity can substantially reduce their risk for early death.

Associations of physical activity and screen-time on health related quality of life in adults.
Associations between the combined effect of physical activity and screen based activities on health related quality of life remain largely undetermined. ⋯ Results suggest that the combination of no physical activity and high screen-time demonstrated the greatest negative impact on health related quality of life.

Making preventive medicine more personalized: implications for exercise-related research.
This commentary offers a discussion of the need to consider behavioral interventions such as physical exercise as integral components of personalized medicine. ⋯ Studies of personalized medicine to date have primarily investigated heterogeneity in drug responsiveness; we believe it is time to begin considering preventive strategies such as exercise within a broader scope of personalized care.
