Identifying components of self-management interventions that improve health-related quality of life in chronically ill patients: Systematic review and meta-regression analysis.
To quantify diversity in components of self-management interventions and explore which components are associated with improvement in health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). ⋯ Future research should address process evaluations and study response to self-management on the level of individual patients.

Informal interpreting in general practice: Comparing the perspectives of general practitioners, migrant patients and family interpreters.
To explore differences in perspectives of general practitioners, Turkish-Dutch migrant patients and family interpreters on interpreters' role, power dynamics and trust in interpreted GP consultations. ⋯ GPs should be educated to become aware of the difficulties of family interpreting, such as conflicting role expectations, and be trained to be able to call on professional interpreters when needed.

When do cancer patients regret their treatment decision? A path analysis of the influence of clinicians' communication styles and the match of decision-making styles on decision regret.
To test the influence of physician empathy (PE), shared decision making (SDM), and the match between patients' preferred and perceived decision-making styles on patients' decision regret. ⋯ Ways to enhance PE and matching the consultation style to patients' expectations should be encouraged.

Teach-back may improve communication, but has not been well studied in the emergency setting. The goal of this study was to characterize perceptions of teach-back in the emergency department (ED) by health literacy. ⋯ Future investigations should focus on feasibility and efficacy of teach-back in the ED and using participant generated wording to introduce teach-back.

To quality assess a sample of health behavior change apps from the NHS Apps Library using a rating tool based on the 2014 National Institute for Health and Care Excellence behavior change guidance (NICE BCG). ⋯ This study helps lay the foundations for development of a quality assurance tool for mobile health apps aimed at health behavior change.
