To systematically find and synthesise qualitative studies that elicited views and experiences of nurses involved in the delivery of health behaviour change (HBC) interventions in primary care, with a focus on how this can inform enhanced delivery and adherence to a structured approach for HBC interventions. ⋯ The findings can be used to inform strategies for researchers, policymakers and healthcare providers to enhance fidelity and support delivery of HBC interventions.

How much is residents' distress detection performance during a clinical round related to their characteristics?
The aim of this study was to investigate residents' characteristics associated with their performance in detecting patients' distress (detection performance). ⋯ Future interventions designed to improve residents' detection performance should focus notably on their performance characteristics.

Associations between pain control self-efficacy, self-efficacy for communicating with physicians, and subsequent pain severity among cancer patients.
Coaching patients to be more active in health encounters may improve communication with physicians but does not necessarily improve health outcomes. We explored this discrepancy by examining relationships between self-efficacy for communicating with physicians and pain control self-efficacy and subsequent pain severity among cancer patients participating in a coaching trial. ⋯ Identifying behavioral mediators of cancer pain severity may lead to coaching interventions that are more effective in improving cancer pain control.

Satisfaction with communication in ICU patients and relatives: comparisons with medical staffs' expectations and the relationship with psychological distress.
To study intensive care unit (ICU) patients' and relatives' satisfaction in regard to communication with medical staff (nurses and physicians), perceived support, environmental strain and their psychological distress. Further, to compare this with expectations of the medical staff. ⋯ Medical staff is aware of psychological distress in ICU patients and relatives and effort to reduce this during ICU stay and afterwards should be implemented.

To investigate the appreciation of written education about pain neurophysiology in patients with fibromyalgia (FM) and its effects on illness perceptions and perceived health status. ⋯ Written education about pain neurophysiology is inadequate toward changing illness perceptions, catastrophizing or perceived health status of participants with FM; education should be incorporated into a broader multidisciplinary self-management program.
