Review Meta AnalysisCan noninvasive brain stimulation improve pain and depressive symptoms in patients with neuropathic pain? A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Noninvasive brain stimulations (NIBS) have been increasingly applied to the patients with neuropathic pain (NP), while the effectiveness of NIBS in the management of NP is still conflicting. ⋯ This meta-analysis revealed the analgesic effect of NIBS on patients with NP, while no beneficial effect was observed on reducing concomitant depression symptoms. The findings recommended the clinical application of NIBS in patients with NP.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudySeriously ill patients' prioritized goals and their clinicians' perceptions of those goals.
Seriously ill patients whose prioritized healthcare goals are understood by their clinicians are likely better positioned to receive goal-concordant care. ⋯ A majority of seriously ill outpatients are cared for by clinicians who accurately perceive their patients' prioritized healthcare goals. However, a substantial portion are not and may be at higher risk for goal-discordant care. Interventions that facilitate goals-of-care discussions may help align care with goals, as recent discussions were associated with accurate perceptions of patients' prioritized goals.

Considerations for Fostering Palliative Care Awareness in Developing Contexts: Strategies from Locally Initiated Projects in India.
Lack of palliative care (PC) awareness is a barrier to its utilization in developing contexts. ⋯ To increase palliative care utilization, program development can include community and provider-focused efforts on awareness of the concepts and value of palliative care. These three strategies held salience across sites representing diverse Indian geographic and cultural settings; as such, they may be applicable to other contexts.
