Meta AnalysisCoffee Intake and Risk of Hypertension: A Meta-Analysis of Cohort Studies.
It remains unclear whether coffee intake is associated with the risk of hypertension. This study aimed to investigate the association between coffee intake and the risk of hypertension by using a meta-analysis of cohort studies. ⋯ The current meta-analysis showed that coffee intake is not associated with the risk of hypertension.

COVID-19 Vaccination Rates in Patients With Chronic Medical Conditions: A Nationwide Cross-Sectional Study.
As most individuals acquire immunity to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, South Korea declared a return to normalcy a few months ago. However, epidemic waves continue because of endlessly emerging variants and waning immunity. ⋯ We found that patients with chronic medical conditions, especially those of higher severity, such as malignancy, had vaccination rates approximately 10-20% lower than those of the general population. Public health authorities and healthcare providers should try to vaccinate these patients to avoid preventable morbidity and mortality.

Age at Menopause and Suicidal Ideation in Menopausal Women: A Study of Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey Data.
Although menopause is considered a risk factor for depression, no association has been established between the risk of suicidal ideation and age at menopause. This study aimed to evaluate the association between age at menopause and suicidal ideation in middle-aged menopausal Korean women. ⋯ Korean middle-aged women with POI were more likely to have suicidal ideation than those who experienced menopause at 45 years or above, despite not being diagnosed with major depressive disorder.

Beta-Lactam Plus Macrolide for Patients Hospitalized With Community-Acquired Pneumonia: Difference Between Autumn and Spring.
The 2017 Korean guideline on community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) recommended beta-lactam plus macrolide combination therapy for patients hospitalized with severe pneumonia, and beta-lactam monotherapy for mild-to-moderate pneumonia. However, antibiotic treatment regimen for mild-to-moderate CAP has never been evaluated for Korean patients. ⋯ Beta-lactam plus macrolide combination therapy shows potential as an empirical therapy for CAP with CURB-65 ≥ 2, especially in autumn.
