To evaluate the clinical and radiographic outcomes of balloon kyphoplasty in patients with fractures of the thoracic and lumbar spine caused by metastatic disease. ⋯ Balloon kyphoplasty is an effective, minimally invasive procedure for the stabilization of pathological vertebral fractures caused by osteolytic lesions of vertebral bodies due to metastatic disease. It gives a statistically significant reduction of pain and prevents further kyphotic deformity of the spine.

Urinary ascites in adults is usually secondary to iatrogenic or traumatic injuries. A case of a 69-year-old male with abdominal pain and decreased renal function is described. ⋯ Delayed scans showed leaking of contrast media from the anterior perirenal space to the peritoneal cavity. The urinary ascites resolved using a double-J stent.

Iodixanol in multidetector-row computed tomography angiography (MDCTA): diagnostic accuracy for abdominal aorta and abdominal aortic major-branch diseases using four-, eight- and 16-detector-row CT scanners.
To compare iodixanol-enhanced multidetector-row computed tomography angiography (MDCTA) with digital subtraction angiography (DSA), perioperative angiography, or surgical findings in the evaluation of the abdominal aorta and its main branches. ⋯ MDCTA using iodixanol is a promising, noninvasive alternative for evaluating patients with abdominal aortic disease.

To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of percutaneous radiologic gastrostomy (PRG) under ultrasonographic (US) and fluoroscopic guidance using a simplified gastropexy technique. ⋯ PRG guided by US and fluoroscopy is a relatively safe technique with a high success rate, provided the stomach can be properly distended with fluid. However, tube gastropexy alone does not seem to protect against early dislodgement.

Endovascular treatment of a pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm with a stent graft: report of two cases.
Two patients with hemoptysis secondary to pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm were treated by endovascular placement of stent grafts. Aneurysms were effectively excluded and hemoptysis stopped. Stent grafts were occluded in both patients. However, endovascular treatment of the pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm with a stent graft is a safe alternative to coil embolization or surgery.
