Infection following abdominal operation remains a major factor affecting the morbidity of patients after surgery. ⋯ Probiotics can improve the integrity of gut mucosal barrier by benefiting the faecal microbiota, and decreasing infectious complications in patients with colorectal cancer undergoing colorectomy.
