Comparative Study Clinical TrialIs letrozole superior to clomiphene for ovarian stimulation prior to intrauterine insemination?
To compare the efficacy of letrozole with clomiphene citrate for ovarian stimulation prior to intrauterine insemination. ⋯ This study found no superiority of letrozole over clomiphene when used for ovarian stimulation and IUI.

ReviewMedical treatment of idiopathic heavy menstrual bleeding. What is new? An evidence based approach.
Heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) is an important health problem affecting up to 30 % of reproductive age women, interfering with their quality of life. Medical therapy, with the avoidance of unnecessary surgery, is an attractive option. ⋯ Maintenance of status quo, i.e., keeping first-line treatment of idiopathic HMB as medical treatment is an essential issue. Modified-release formulation of tranexamic acid, the new four-phasic contraceptive pills and contraceptive vaginal ring are recently added to the medical armamentarium for treatment of idiopathic HMB increasing its efficacy.

Clinical TrialLaparoscopic repair of vaginal vault prolapse by lateral suspension with mesh.
To evaluate the long-term outcomes of laparoscopic lateral suspension using mesh reinforcement for symptomatic posthysterectomy vaginal vault prolapse. ⋯ Laparoscopic lateral suspension with mesh interposition is a safe and effective technique for the treatment of vaginal vault prolapse. This approach represents an alternative procedure to the laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy.

Obesity is one of global health problems and maternal obesity may be associated with increase in risk of pregnancy complications and neonatal death. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of maternal pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI) on neonate Apgar score at minute 5. ⋯ Maternal pre-pregnancy overweight should be more concerned to prevent complication of low Apgar score in their newborns.
