Case ReportsRetrocardiac pneumomediastinum in association with tracheal and esophageal perforations.
Retrocardiac pneumomediastinum was encountered in two premature infants; one had a tracheal perforation and one an esophageal perforation. Contrast studies showed communication between the sites of perforation and the retrocardiac air. Clinical signs suggestive of such perforation include abnormal course of tubes on plain chest films and bloody aspirates.

Case ReportsSimultaneous intussusception and sigmoid volvulus in a child.
This radiographically documented case of synchronous ileoileocolic intussusception and sigmoid volvulus is without apparent precedence. Etiological factors relevant to each of these conditions are discussed. Reasons for possible underdiagnosis of sigmoid volvulus and simultaneous lesions are included.

Case ReportsInfra-azygous pneumomediastinum versus pulmonary ligament air collection: CT evaluation.
A full-term infant developed a large collection of air posteriorly in the thorax. Computed tomography showed the anatomical distribution of this extraventilatory air and although, it did not conclusively differentiate between infra-azygous pneumomediastinum and a pulmonary ligament air collection, inappropriate needle aspiration of the air was avoided.

Comparative StudyA comparison of the Shwachman, Chrispin-Norman and Brasfield methods for scoring of chest radiographs of patients with cystic fibrosis.
Three systems are described for chest radiograph scoring in cystic fibrosis patients: the Shwachman-Kulczycki, the Chrispin-Norman and the Brasfield method. Sixty chest radiographs of 39 patients of different ages have been independently scored by two radiologists according to the three methods. ⋯ The Chrispin-Norman method is recommended as the best choice because differences in scoring appeared better interpretable. A significant increase in precision could be achieved by combining the scores of the three methods.
