Early range of motion results in good elbow function following conservative treatment of non-displaced radial head fractures.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the range of motion (ROM), elbow function and predictors for good elbow function after conservative treatment of non-displaced radial head fractures. ⋯ A clinical assessment after one week should always be performed and the study showed that it is a good predictor for good elbow function. In cases of bad elbow function further controls should be considered.

Accuracy of cup placement and pelvic motion in total hip arthroplasty in the lateral decubitus position using a new computed tomography-based navigation system with augmented reality technology.
This study aimed to investigate the accuracy of cup position and assess the changes in pelvic tilt during primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) in the lateral decubitus position using a new computed tomography (CT)-based navigation system with augmented reality (AR) technology. ⋯ Although progressive pelvic motion occurred in THA in the lateral decubitus position, especially during cup placement, the CT-based navigation system with AR technology improved cup placement accuracy.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyPerformance of medial pivot, posterior stabilized and rotating platform total knee arthroplasty based on anteroposterior stability and patient-reported outcome measures; a multicentre double-blinded randomized controlled trial of 210 knees.
Despite advancements in total knee arthroplasty (TKA), 10-20% of patients remain dissatisfied after surgery. Improved anteroposterior (AP) stability provided by medial pivot (MP) implants may theoretically lead to higher patient satisfaction. ⋯ MP-, PS- and RP-TKA all provide excellent and comparable results. Although MP-TKA provided better AP stability at early flexion compared to PS- and RP-TKA, this was found to be unrelated to improved PROMs in favour of MP-TKA. More studies focusing on early and mid-flexion performance based differences between MP and other TKA designs are required to confirm our findings. Other non-implant related factors may play a more important role in the performance of TKA and are potentially worthwhile examining.

Eighteen-year outcome of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with patellar tendon or hamstring autograft.
To evaluate patient reported outcomes and radiographic arthritic changes of transtibial anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) with either bone-patellar tendon-bone (BPTB) or hamstrings (HS) auto-grafts at a minimum of 15-year follow-up. ⋯ Very long-term outcomes and clinical stability of transtibial HS or BPTB graft ACL reconstruction are good with low rate of graft failure and radiographic osteoarthritis.

Delayed debridement affects prognosis in patients with purulent flexor tenosynovitis: a retrospective cohort and multivariate analyses.
Purulent flexor tenosynovitis (PFT) is a severe condition, and many patients report serious postoperative complications such as amputation, limited range of motion (ROM), or recurrence of symptoms. However, the ideal protocol for PFT treatment remains unknown owing to the limited number of studies. This retrospective cohort study aimed to identify prognostic factors for PFT treatment outcomes. ⋯ The results of this study suggest that indications for nonoperative treatment of PFT are limited and that earlier surgical debridement is recommended.
