The current COVID-19 pandemic mainly affects older people, those with obesity or other coexisting chronic diseases such as type-2 diabetes and high blood pressure. It has been observed that about 20 % of patients will require hospitalization, and some of them will need the support of invasive mechanical ventilation in intensive care units. ⋯ Several international guidelines have provided recommendations to ensure energy and protein intake in people with COVID-19, with safety measures to reduce the risk of infection in healthcare personnel. The purpose of this review is to analyze the main recommendations related to adequate nutritional management for critically ill patients with COVID-19 in order to improve their prognosis and clinical outcomes.

The ageing of the world population, the early detection of some types of tumours, and the increasing survival rates demand/claim a change of model in the specific care of older cancer patient. According to recent data, it is estimated that there will be 29.5 million patients with cancer in 2040, more than 50% of them over 65 years. Most cancer-related deaths and survivorships also belong to this group of age. ⋯ The CGA offers the possibility to apply a tailored treatment according to the characteristics of each patient. Investigation is necessary in order to get specific evidence to adapt care models working in a multidisciplinary way. Therefore, the collaboration between the different specialists that are involved in the care of cancer elderly patient is essential.

Introduction: the castellanomanchega's gastronomy has a wide variety of popular dishes, mostly (rott en pot, gauls or gazpachos…), he made known Cervantes through his work The Quixote. It ends its peculiarities in each province. Objectives: to identify the most significant gastronomic modalities and to know the food consumption pattern and nutritional prolife of the community of Castilla-La Mancha (CCLM). ⋯ Conclusions: the gastronomy castellanomanchega is rich and varied offering a high quality. The food pattern is unbalanced showing a high intake of fats, especially saturated and protein, at the expense of carbohydrates. These disorders, together with inadequate consumption of micronutrients and the high weight taking rate, make it necessary to improve eating habits by means of nutritional training and dissemination strategies.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Accidental enteral feeding tube dislodgement with the use of a dedicated feeding tube attachment device versus adhesive tape as the securing method: a randomized clinical trial.
Introduction: accidental dislodgement of enteral feeding tubes has been considered as an important quality indicator of the efficacy of enteral nutrition therapy. However, in clinical practice, the use of feeding tube attachment devices (FTADs), as an alternative to the traditional method of adhesive tape alone, has not yet been evaluated for its effectiveness in reducing inadvertent tube dislodgement. Objective: to evaluate the impact of using a dedicated FTAD compared with the traditional securing method with adhesive tape on the occurrence of accidental enteral feeding tube removal. ⋯ During follow-up, patients in the FTAD group received a mean of 60.0% of the volume of enteral nutrition prescribed, while patients in the adhesive tape group received 57.0% (p = 0.61). There was no difference in skin lesions between the groups. Conclusion: the strategy of using a dedicated FTAD as the method for securing enteral feeding tubes did not reduce the risk of accidental tube dislodgement compared with the traditional securing method with adhesive tape.
