Assessment of liver fibrosis using pharmacokinetic parameters of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging.
To evaluate the pharmacokinetic parameters of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) in diagnosing and staging liver fibrosis in rabbits. ⋯ Among pharmacokinetic parameters of DCE-MRI in our study, K(trans) was an excellent predictor for differentiating fibrotic livers from normal livers, and differentiating normal livers from nonadvanced or advanced fibrosis livers. Diffusional kurtosis imaging for differentiating between high-grade glioma and primary central nervous system lymphoma.
The aim of this study was to assess the diagnostic accuracy of diffusion kurtosis magnetic resonance imaging parameters for differentiating high-grade gliomas (HGGs) from primary central nervous system lymphomas (PCNSLs). ⋯ There were significant differences in kurtosis parameters (MK and K// ) between HGGs and PCNSLs, while differences in diffusion parameters between them did not reach significance; hence, better separation was achieved with these parameters than with conventional diffusion imaging parameters. Assessing global and regional iron content in deep gray matter as a function of age using susceptibility mapping.
To investigate the correlation of non-heme iron content in deep gray matter nuclei as a function of age using quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) from both whole-structural and regional perspectives. ⋯ We conclude that the age-susceptibility correlation can serve as a quantitative magnetic susceptibility baseline as a function of age for monitoring abnormal global and regional iron deposition. A regional analysis has shown a tighter age related behavior, providing a reliable and sensitive reference for what can be considered normal iron content for studies of neurodegenerative diseases. J.
