EFFECT OF MAMMOGRAPHY IMAGING PROCEDURE ON SERUM INFLAMMATORY AND/OR TUMOR MARKER LEVELS.
Mammography is one of the gold standard screening tests for breast cancer. The effects of mammography procedure on blood parameters are not known. This study aimed to investigate whether the procedure-associated breast compression affects the widely and simultaneously performed blood measurements of C-reactive protein (CRP), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), and cancer antigen (CA) 15-3. ⋯ Although pre-mammography serum CEA levels in group 1 participants were significantly higher than those in group 2 and 3 participants, this significant elevation became nonsignificant at post-mammography measurements (p<0.05 and p>0.05, respectively). On the day of the mammographic imaging study, the optimal time of blood sampling for testing CRP, CEA and CA 15-3 levels in persons with a breast mass is before, but not after the mammographic imaging procedure. This issue requires additional detailed studies.

Acute optic neuritis is often associated with multiple sclerosis. It is considered to be the most common ocular symptom of multiple sclerosis. In addition to acute optic neuritis, in patients with multiple sclerosis, subclinical optic neuritis is also described. ⋯ The most common defects of visual fields were retinal sensitivity depression in peripheral zone and nerve fiber bundle defect. Reduced contrast sensitivity was found in 30 (86%) patients. Study results indicated multiple sclerosis patients free from signs of optic neuritis to suffer vision function impairment, as demonstrated by Octopus perimetry and contrast sensitivity testing with Pelli Robson charts.

ASSESSMENT OF NEONATAL CARE STANDARD BY THE PREDICTIVE MODEL FOR RETINOPATHY OF PREMATURITY BASED ON WEIGHT GAIN.
Care of extremely premature infants is in constant need for evaluation and progress. WINROP, a predictive model based on weight gain, has been developed to reduce the number of stressful examinations for retinopathy for prematurity. Validation studies of WINROP emphasize the difference of applicability in neonatal units of various practice. ⋯ In conclusion, WINROP is not just a provider of predictive information on the severity of retinopathy of prematurity. High-risk alarm indicates the need of adjustment of nutritional strategies. Infants without pathological growth morbidities who develop severe retinopathy of prematurity in low-risk group point to other risk factors for retinopathy of prematurity to be evaluated and changed in future practice.

OPTIMIZATION OF PRE-HOSPITAL FIRST AID MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES FOR PATIENTS WITH INFECTIOUS DISEASES IN HUIZHOU CITY USING DEEP LEARNING ALGORITHM.
The aim of the study was to optimize the pre-hospital first aid management strategy for patients with infectious diseases in Huizhou city, which is expected to provide a basis for the epidemic prevention and control, to save lives, and increase the pre-hospital first aid efficiency. At the Department of Emergency, Huizhou Third People's Hospital as the research subject, the common pre-hospital first aid procedure for infectious diseases was identified. The Petri net was used to model and determine the execution time of each link of the pre-hospital first aid process. ⋯ In terms of the emergency path, deep learning was combined with the reinforcement learning model to construct the reinforcement learning model for ambulance path planning. Isomorphic Markov chain analysis revealed that the patient status when returning to the hospital, the time needed for the ambulance to come to designated location, and the on-site treatment were the main problems in the first aid process, and the time needed for the pre-hospital first aid process was reduced by 25.17% after optimization. In conclusion, Petri net and isomorphic Markov chain can optimize the pre-hospital first aid management strategies for patients with infectious diseases, and the use of deep learning algorithm can effectively plan the emergency path, achieving intelligent and informationalized pre-hospital transfer, which provides a basis for reducing the suffering, mortality, and disability rate of patients with infectious diseases.

Case ReportsNECK HEMATOMA AFTER CENTRAL VENOUS CATHETERIZATION AND AWAKE INTUBATION AS RESCUE AIRWAY MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUE: A CASE REPORT.
Central venous catheterization (CVC) of the internal jugular vein is an invasive procedure commonly performed in anesthesiology practice. Usually it is an uneventful procedure but complications such as bleeding, infection, and potential damage to the surrounding structures can occur. One of the complications is neck hematoma, which can distort airway anatomy and cause upper airway obstruction. ⋯ Awake tracheal intubation (ATI) with video laryngoscopy was the technique of choice for reintubation because of the neck swelling and compression onto laryngeal structures. In this case, rushed extubation put the patient at risk. Video laryngoscopy ATI with appropriate preparation and titrated sedation can enable quick and safe rescue airway management in patients with rapidly developing neck hematoma, along with definitive evacuation and treatment.
