Observational Study[Equivalent continuous noise level in neonatal intensive care unit associated to burnout syndrome].
Noise levels in neonatal intensive care units allow the appearance of symptoms associated with burnout such as stress, irritability, fatigue and emotional instability on health care personnel. The aim of this study was to evaluate the equivalent continuous noise levels in the neonatal intensive care unit and compare the results with noise levels associated with the occurrence of burnout syndrome on the care team. ⋯ Noise level is reported in the range of 51.4-77.6 decibels A (dBA) with an average of 64 dBA, 100.6 dBA maximum, and average background noise from 57.9 dBA. Noise levels exceed the standards suggested for neonatal intensive care units, are close to maximum values referred for noise exposure in the occupational standards and to noise levels associated with the onset of burnout; thus allowing to infer the probability of occurrence of high levels of noise present in the unit on the development of burnout in caregivers.

Observational Study[Cuff pressure control at the intersinve care unit: influence of nursing professionals' training].
To analyze proper control of endotracheal cuff pressure in an intensive care unit. The specific objective is to verify whether training of nursing professionals improves monitoring endotracheal cuff pressure. ⋯ Monitoring of the endotracheal cuff pressure was inadequate before specific training of professionals. Nursing professionals training facilitates the correct measurement of the endotracheal cuff pressure, which improves patient safety.

Multicenter Study Comparative Study[Intensive care unit profesionals's knowledge about non invasive ventilation comparative analysis].
The literature highlights the lack of noninvasive ventilation (NIV) protocols and the variability of the knowledge of NIV between intensive care units (ICU) and hospitals, so we want to compare NIV nurses's Knowledge from 4 multipurpose ICU and one surgical ICU. ⋯ Knowledge about types of interface is very dependent on the material of the unit. More training for complications of NIV as agitation and handling secretions it is necessary.

Observational Study[Intraobserver reliability and internal consistency of the Behavioral Pain Scale in mechanically-ventilated patients].
The Behavioral Pain Scale (BPS) is a tool of pain assessment that often gives contradictory results when used by different raters. ⋯ The level of internal consistency of the scale is appropriate and moderate interrater agreement. For the BPS useful in clinical practice, it is imperative that nurses have prior experience with a regulated use of this tool.

[Perception of UCI nurses in relation with satisfactory care: convergences and divergences with the perception of critical patients].
Explore convergences and divergences between perception of nurses and of critically ill patients, in relation to the satisfactory care given and received. ⋯ Perceptions of nurses in relation to care match perceptions of critically ill patients in both the definition and dimensions upon satisfactory care.
