Comparative StudyStudy of the disparity of noninvasive and invasive blood pressure measured by the Philips Intellivue MP50 monitor in surgeries inducing gall cardiac reflex under general anesthesia.
The aim of the present study was to comprehensively compare noninvasive and invasive blood pressure (BP) measured by the Philips Intellivue MP50 monitor in surgeries that may induce gall cardiac reflex under general anesthesia. ⋯ The oscillometric BP showed poor agreement with intra-arterial BP in cholecyst or bile duct surgeries that may induce gall cardiac reflex under general anesthesia. Therefore, according to the present data, application of oscillometric BP measured by the Philips Intellivue MP50 monitor in these surgery patients under general anesthesia cannot be recommended generally.

Validation of the Pangao PG-800A36 automatic wrist blood pressure monitor according to the European Society of Hypertension and the British Hypertension Society protocols.
The aim of this study was to validate the PG-800A36 automatic wrist blood pressure monitor according to the European Society of Hypertension International Protocol (ESH-IP) revision 2010 and the British Hypertension Society (BHS) protocols. ⋯ The Pangao PG-800A36 passed the requirements of the ESH-IP revision 2010 and achieved the A/A grade of the BHS protocol, which can be recommended for self-measurement in the general population.

Comparative StudyAmbulatory blood pressure is superior to clinic blood pressure in relation to ischemic stroke in both diabetic and nondiabetic patients.
The pressure study was carried out to evaluate the hypotheses that ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) is superior to clinic blood pressure for ischemic stroke and that ABP is important to refine risk stratification. ⋯ Our study showed that in a hospital setting, 24-h SBP and daytime-SBP were superior to clinic-SBP in relation to ischemic stroke.

Multicenter Study Comparative StudyClinical validation of a new wrist continuous noninvasive hemodynamic monitoring system in comparison with invasive radial artery measurement.
An ideal arterial pressure monitoring system for perioperative care is required to be accurate, noninvasive, continuous, and risk free. Although several continuous noninvasive arterial pressures (CNAP) are determined on the finger, a new wrist CNAP monitoring system was developed. This prospective study was designed as a randomized-controlled trial to assess its validity in comparison with invasive arterial pressure (IAP) monitoring. ⋯ The new wrist CNAP monitoring system showed an acceptable agreement and interchangeability with the IAP.

To validate the G.LAB MD2200 automated wrist blood pressure (BP) monitors according to the European Society of Hypertension International Protocol (ESH-IP) revision 2010, the British Hypertension Society (BHS), and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 81060-2:2013 protocols. ⋯ The G.LAB MD2200 automated wrist BP monitor passed the ESH-IP revision 2010 and the ISO 81060-2:2013 protocol, and achieved the A/A grade of the BHS protocol, which can be recommended for self-measurement in the general population.
