Diagnostic Value of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Rheumatoid Finger Arthritis.
To determine the value of musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) in evaluating the pathological features and inflammatory lesions of rheumatoid finger arthritis. ⋯ Compared to MRI, MSUS has a higher detection rate of joint effusion in RA patients. In the MSUS examination, synovial blood flow signal is positively correlated with RF, Anti-CCP, ESR, CRP, IL-6, and IL-33, and the resistive index of intra-synovial artery is closely related to disease activity. Key Words: Musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS), Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Synovial hyperplasia, Synovial blood flow signal, Serum markers.

Worsening of the COVID-19 Pandemic in New York City: Analysis of Response Gaps and Challenges at the Public Policy and Community Levels.
This review was aimed to probe into factors that resulted in worsening of novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in New York City, USA. Extensive review of available information sources, such as scientific literature, COVID-19 data generating websites, expert opinions as well as government briefings and simultaneous measures, were carried out to fulfil the objectives of this paper. Data was arranged in tabular form. ⋯ There was lack of proactivity in measures taken by governments which is due to neo-liberal capitalism on one hand and lack of coordination among three tiers of government on the other. Cosmopolitan features of the city also made it prone to devastating spread of pandemic. Crowded mega cities with incompetent governments in implementing timely public health measures for prevention of spread of COVID-19 are at potential threat of high disease spread across the globe. Keywords: New York City, COVID-19 pandemic, Response gaps, Metropolitan.

Comparison of Tumor Volume Dependent Mean Diameter with the Longest Diameter and Tumor Volume in Assessing Axillary Lymph Nodes in Breast Cancer.
To investigate the effectiveness of tumor volume dependent mean diameter (Rmax) in determining axillary lymph node metastasis positivity instead of the largest diameter (Dmax) in breast cancer. ⋯ When the relationships of Dmax and vTm with ALNM were compared in breast cancer cases, the efficacy of vTm is higher. It was found that vTm and Rmax can be used instead of Dmax. The relation of Rmax parameter with ALNM was found to be higher. When Rmax was used in nomogram samples, which are currently used in predicting ALNM positivity, it increased nomogram efficacy. Key Words: Breast neoplasm, Tumor burden, Tumor volume, Tumor diameter, Lymphatic metastasis.

Hypoxemia is the most common cause for hospitalization in COVID-19 patients. Acute hypoxemic respiratory failure or acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is the most common complication in COVID-19 patients. Close monitoring of respiratory decompensation is essential. ⋯ Strict personal precautions and challenges related to airway management has been currently studied. The authors summarize here the issues of mechanical ventilation and some strategies to resolve them. Key Words: Mechanical ventilation, COVID-19, Hypoxemia.
