Meta AnalysisDiagnostic Value of Urinary MicroRNAs for Bladder Cancer in Asia.
This study aimed to explore the diagnostic performance of urinary microRNAs (miRNAs) in bladder cancer (BC) in the Asian population. PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and Cochrane Library were searched for relevant literature on the diagnostic performance of miRNAs for BC in the Asian population. Subsequently, quality assessment on diagnostic accuracy studies-2 (QUADAS-2) was used for evaluating the quality of the included literature, and Stata version 15.0 for statistical analysis. ⋯ Additionally, the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.85 in the summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curve, and the diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) was 12.39 (95%CI: 9.00-17.07). In conclusion, urinary miRNAs show good performance in diagnosing BC in Asia, and, therefore, can serve as effective biomarkers for early clinical screening and auxiliary diagnosis of BC. Key Words: MicroRNAs, Bladder cancer, Diagnostic value, Meta-analysis.

Relative Risk of Anxiety and Depression among COVID-19 Survivor Healthcare Workers from a Tertiary Care Hospital in Pakistan: A Pilot Cohort Study.
Longitudinal studies for determining the risk of anxiety and depression among COVID-19 survivor healthcare workers are lacking. This study aimed to determine the risk of anxiety and depression among healthcare workers that survived COVID-19 infection through a six-month post-recovery follow-up. This was a cohort study conducted at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, from 1st March to 30th August 2020. ⋯ There was no increased risk of anxiety or depression six months post-COVID-19 infection in the infected HCW, compared to uninfected HCW. It is recommended to conduct longitudinal studies with large sample and longer follow-up. Key Words: Relative risk, Anxiety, Depression, HADS, COVID-19, Healthcare workers.

Case ReportsA Special Case of Cirrhosis with a Novel ATP7B Mutation and Occult Chronic HBV Infection.
Wilson's disease (WD) is an autosomal recessive disorder that affects copper metabolism. Mutations of the ATP7B gene have been found to be strongly associated with a risk of developing WD; and at present, more than 500 mutations have been reported in WD patients. The Arg778Leu and Arg952Lys mutations in exons 8 and 12, respectively, are highly prevalent in the Chinese population. ⋯ Meanwhile, the early stage of occult hepatitis B infection lacks typical clinical manifestations, which easily leads to it being misdiagnosed as liver cirrhosis. We report a new pathogenic exon 19 mutation of ATP7B,which can potentially contribute to the early genetic diagnosis and prompt treatment of WD. Key Words: Wilson's disease, Gene mutation, ATP7B, Cirrhosis, Occult hepatitis B infection.

Observational StudyCorrelation between Intestinal Flora and Serum Inflammatory Factors in Post-stroke Depression in Ischemic Stroke.
To investigate the correlation between intestinal flora and serum inflammatory factors IL-1, IL-2, IL-6 and hs-CRP in post-stroke depression (PSD) in ischemic stroke patients. ⋯ There are intestinal flora imbalance and Bifidobacterium undergrowth in patients with PSD, which can lead to overexpression of serum inflammatory factors. Both may be involved in occurrence and progress of PSD in patients with ischemic stroke. Key Words: Ischemic stroke, Post-stroke depression (PSD), Intestinal flora, Inflammatory factors.

Mindfulness in the Emergency Department (MED): An Asynchronous Learning Course to Practise Mindfulness and Resilience in the Emergency Room of Low Resource Setting.
Owing to the fast-paced, stressful, and frequent crucial rapid decisions that trigger cognitive exhaustion, emergency physicians are especially vulnerable to burnout. Mindfulness practices have been defined in the literature and it focuses on the well-being and resilience. ⋯ It would concentrate on the foundations of mindfulness and resilience, learning and incorporating mindfulness, understanding the coping mechanisms and establishing a pathway to minimise anxiety and depression. Key Words: Mindfulness, Resilience, Burnout, Emergency medicine, Emergency department, Wellness.
