Meta AnalysisEfficacy of Standardised Treatments Combined with Ubenimex in Patients with Malignant Tumors.
Ubenimex is widely used as an immunomodulator in the treatment of leukemia and non-small cell lung cancer to improve the anti-tumor treatment effect. However, there has not been any multicenter randomised controlled trials to study its impact on the prognosis of cancer patients. The authors aimed to conduct a meta-analysis to initially study these issues. ⋯ Between the ubenimex group and the control group, the 1-year OR was 1.40 (95% CI = 1.06 to 1.85), the 2-year OR was 1.43 (95% CI = 1.08 to 1.89) and the 3-year OR was 1.39 (95% CI = 1.07 to 1.81). Standardised treatments combined with ubenimex may improve the survival rate of patients with malignant tumors. Key Words: Malignant tumors, Ubenimex, Randomised controlled trials, Meta-analysis.

Randomized Controlled Trial Observational StudyImpact of Intraoperative Dexmedetomidine versus Remifentanil on Recovery Characteristics following Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy.
To evaluate the impact of intraoperative dexmedetomidine versus remifentanil on postoperative pain; and enhanced recovery profile in patients scheduled for laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG). ⋯ Better enhanced recovery profile after LSG supports the use of intraoperative infusion of dexmedetomidine as an anaesthetic adjuvant versus remifentanil. Key Words: Dexmedetomidine, Remifentanil, Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS); Bariatric surgery.

Randomized Controlled TrialConcomitant Therapy versus Triple Therapy: Efficacy in H. Pylori Eradication and Predictors of Treatment Failure.
To compare concomitant therapy (CT) and triple therapy (TRT) for success in helicobacter (H.) pylori eradication and identify factors associated with treatment failure. ⋯ CT achieves better H. pylori eradication than TRT. Older age, longer duration of illness, and previous proton pump inhibitor use were independent predictors of H. pylori treatment failure. Key Words: Concomitant therapy, Eradication, H. pylori, Triple therapy.

Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of Efficacy of Teriparatide (Parathyroid Hormone 1-34) Alone and in Combination with Zoledronic Acid for Osteoporosis in Postmenopausal Women.
The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of teriparatide (parathyroid hormone 1-34) alone and in combination with zoledronic acid (ZA) for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Ninety-six patients were randomly equally divided into Groups A (n=48) and B (n=48). Group A was given parathyroid hormone 1-34 alone. ⋯ After 6 months of treatment, VAS score, serum OPN and S-CTX levels in Group B were significantly lower than those in Group A (p=0.001, p<0.001 and p<0.001, respectively); and BMD values of lumbar vertebrae L2-4, femoral neck and total hip bone in Group B were higher than those of Group A (p=0.002, p=0.028 and p<0.001, respectively). In conclusion, parathyroid hormone 1-34 plus ZA is more effective than parathyroid hormone 1-34 alone in treating post postmenopausal osteoporosis. Key Words: Teriparatide (parathyroid hormone 1-34, Zoledronic acid (ZA), Postmenopausal, Osteoporosis, Bone mineral density (BMD).

Comparative StudyIs Spontaneous Pneumomediastinum a Poor Prognostic Factor in Covid-19?
To determine the risk factors for spontaneous pneumomediastinum (SPM), its clinical course and effect on prognosis in patients with Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pneumonia. ⋯ SPM development in a patient with COVID-19 pneumonia is a sign that the prognosis will not be good, and these patients need a more aggressive treatment. Key Words: Spontaneous pneumomediastinum, COVİD-19, Pneumothorax, Real-time polymerase chain reaction, Subcutaneous emphysema.
