Obstetrics and COVID-19 Experience: Challenges and Strategies Adapted by a Tertiary Care Hospital in a Developing Country.
Novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has produced profound effects on the global healthcare systems including every specialty. Pregnant women are physiologically immunocompromised and may be affected more by the pandemic than the general population. New and unique challenges were encountered by hospitals and healthcare providers (HCPs) related to medical, surgical and strategic management involved in obstetric care. ⋯ Strategies adopted for timely intervention to overcome those challenges were implemented for smooth and safe care to all patients and staff. We believe that planning and preparing proactively is the key to address any pandemic like COVID-19. Key Words: COVID-19, Pregnancy, Obstetric care, Challenges.

Surgical Resection Length and Harvested Lymph Nodes in Colon Cancer.
To determine the relationship between resected specimen length and tumor location, the number of LN harvested (LNh), and the positive LN ratio (LNR) in colon cancer. ⋯ Central LN dissection and vascular high ligation, according to tumor site are more efficient than the length of the resected specimen for an adequate LN dissection in colon cancers. Key Words: Colon cancer, Harvested lymph node, Specimen length, Adequate dissection.

Case ReportsBrain Abscess Caused by Lactococcus Lactis in a Young Male.
Lactococcus lactis cremoris is one of the gram positive cocci, not known to be pathogenic in humans. We report a case of brain abscess due to lactococcus lactis in an adolescent. An 18-year male with congenitally corrected transposition of great arteries and dextrocardia was admitted with fever, headache and right-sided numbness. ⋯ He was treated with ceftriaxone and remained disability-free on six month follow-up. To our knowledge, this is one of the few reports of brain abscess caused by lactococcus lactis. Key Words: Brain abscess, Lactococcus lactis, Adolescent.

Characteristics of Patients Presenting with COVID-19 from Balochistan Province and Lessons Learnt.
With the spread of COVID-19 in Pakistan, Balochistan province with its unique problems of lowest literacy rates in the country, limited resources and a flail health care system is reporting an increasing number of cases of COVID-19. This study discusses the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of COVID-19 patients from the Balochistan province. ⋯ COVID-19 cases and case fatality ratio is low in Balochistan. Whether this is due to inability to carry out more tests is still to be ascertained. Males and elderly are more affected and fatalities were higher in cases with co-morbid conditions. Balochistan having a weak healthcare system and with the majority of cases being asymptomatic, needs more stringent actions to practice social distancing to avoid further spread of COVID-19.

Investigation of Hereditary Cancer Predisposition Genes of Patients with Colorectal Cancer: Single-centre Experience.
To investigate the genetic causes of colorectal cancers (CRCs); and to determine the genotype-phenotype correlation. ⋯ Genes that may cause susceptibility to cancer may play a role in the etiopathogenesis of the CRC. NGS-based multigene panels allow these genes to be detected in the patient and to identify an inherited cancer syndrome. Key Words: Colorectal cancer, Lynch syndrome, Hereditary cancer, Gene, Next generation sequencing.
