Review Case ReportsA Case Report of Imatinib-induced Acute Heart Failure and Literature Review.
Patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) or acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are appropriate candidates for medical treatment using imatinib. Here, we report a case of imatinib-induced acute heart failure in a patient with ALL and retrospectively analyse the adverse reactions of imatinib. The patient was a 45-year man with Ph+ and bcr-abl positive (bcr-abl+) ALL. ⋯ A retrospective analysis of the adverse reactions in 100 cases of leukemia patients, who took imatinib in the past three years, indicated a rare incidence of congestive heart failure among those patients. Our experience in treating the patient suggests that brain natriuretic peptide levels and cardiac doppler examinations should be monitored closely in these patients. Key Words: Imatinib, Acute lymphoid leukemia, Acute heart failure.

Case ReportsA Case of IgG4-related Mesenteritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a systemic fibroinflammatory disease of unknown etiology and pathogenesis, which can affect all organs. The most commonly involved organs are the pancreas, hepatobiliary system, salivary glands, orbits and lymph nodes. Rarely, the thyroid, pituitary, aorta, lung and kidney may also be involved; mesenteric involvement is rare. ⋯ Anti-tumor necrosis factor alpha (anti-TNFα) treatment has been tried in refractory IgG4-RD cases; but this case is of great interest in terms of progressive presentation under treatment with etanercept, an anti-TNFα agent, which is also used for the treatment. But, IgG4-related mesenteritis with ankylosing spondylitis receiving anti-TNFα therapy, which has also been tried in the treatment of IgG4 disease, has not been reported in the literature. Key Words: IgG4-related disease, Mesenteritis, Ankylosing spondylitis.

Randomized Controlled TrialDoes Interval between Breastfeedıng and Heel Lance Affect the Perception of Pain in Newborns?
To investigate whether the duration between breastfeeding and heel lance has an effect on babies' pain perception. ⋯ The duration between breastfeeding and heel lance may influence the perception of pain in newborns. Keeping this period short, may reduce the perception of pain. Key Words: Breastfeeding, Breast milk, Newborn, Pain.

Observational StudyDuct-to-Mucosa Pancreaticojejunostomy with Less Serosal Stitches: A Different Approach to Well-known Problem.
To describe a new approach (duct-to-mucosa pancreaticojejunostomy with less serosal stiches) for postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) in pancreaticoduodenectomy. ⋯ Two-layer duct-to-mucosa pancreaticojejunostomy with less serosal stitches technique has acceptable pancreatic fistula rates. This technique could be used by surgeons who are faced with challenges with the duct-to-mucosa anastomosis due to aforementioned causes. Large multi-centre randomised future studies are required to confirm these findings. Key Words: Postoperative pancreatic fistula, Surgical technique, Duct-to-mucosa pancreaticojejunostomy, Less serosal stiches.
