Case ReportsSpontaneous Forniceal Rupture Identified by Point-of-care Ultrasound.
Spontaneous forniceal rupture is one of the rarest diagnoses of abrupt onset abdominal pain. Moreover, urolithiasis is the most prevalent cause and coexistent condition. Delayed-phased Contrast-enhanced computed tomography scans or intravenous pyelograms are needed for an exact diagnosis in most circumstances. ⋯ To the best of our knowledge, this is one of the first cases of spontaneous forniceal rupture secondary to urolithiasis diagnosed by the physician-performed ultrasound before confirmation of the diagnosis with computed tomography. In conclusion, emergency physicians and surgeons should be aware of rare conditions like spontaneous forniceal rupture and its sonographic findings to make a rapid diagnosis of urine extravasation so that unwanted complications are avoided. Key Words: Renal stone, Ultrasound, Forniceal rupture, Renal colic, Urinoma.

Evaluation of Calciferol, Cobalamin, and Stromelysin-1 in Patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy due to Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus.
To evaluate the relationship between calciferol (vitamin D), cobalamin (vitamin-B12), and Stromelysin-1 (MMP-3) circulating levels in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), patients with DM type 2 (T2DM) without neuropathy, and healthy control groups. ⋯ Healthy, age, and gender matched volunteers who were admitted to the hospital for a check-up with no health problem constituted the control group (n=30). Cases diagnosed with T2DM (n=30) and those with DPN (n=30) comprised the experimental group. Stromelysin-1, calciferol, and cobalamin levels were analysed from blood samples from all groups using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) with a commercial kit. Tukey's Honest Significant Difference (HSD) test was performed after one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) for intergroup comparisons. Alpha significance level was accepted as.

Recent development in CRISPR technologies has emerged as a powerful tool for genome editing, which can become a powerful diagnostic and therapeutic option for cancer patients. While literature search demonstrates some successes in this dimension in animal models and phase-I human trials, still the promised panacea has shortcomings in terms of off-target mutations (OTMs), minimal efficiency, and tailoring individualised interventions. While there is a promise for the future, although the CRISPR technology still has to climb up the ladder in terms of improvements with more enhanced efficiency tools for delivering the payload into cell and reducing the off-target mutations. Key Words: CRISPR, Oncology, Off-target mutations (OTMs), Genome editing, 3-D cell cultures.

Inflammatory Prognostic Index in Metastatic Renal Carcinoma Treated with Nivolumab.
To evaluate the utility of inflammatory prognostic index (IPI), albumin, c-reactive protein (CRP), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) as predictive biomarkers of oncologic outcome in metastatic renal cell cancer (mRCC) patients treated with nivolumab. ⋯ Albumin, Immune checkpoint inhibitor, IPI score, Metastatic renal cell carcinoma, Nivolumab, overall survival, Progression-free survival.
