Meta AnalysisComparison of Cannulated Screw Combined with Medial Femoral Plate and Simple Cannulated Screw in the Treatment of Pauwels Type III Femoral Neck Fracture: A Meta-analysis with Trial Sequential Analysis.
This study aimed to compare the efficacy of cannulated screw combined with medial femoral plate and simple cannulated screw for Pauwels type III femoral neck fracture. In May 2022, relavent clinical trial articles were searched in seven online databases. After literature screening, quality evaluation, and data extraction according to the specific inclusion and exclusion criteria, the differences in therapeutic efficacy, complications, and intraoperative outcomes were compared between the two groups. ⋯ The sensitivity analysis, Egger's test, and trial sequential analysis (TSA) showed that the combination results were stable and reliable. This demonstrated that compared to that with the simple cannulated screw, the cannulated screw combined with medial femoral plate had better efficacy and less complication. Key Words: Femoral neck fracture, Therapy effect, Cannulated screw, Medial femoral plate, Trial sequential analysis.

Meta AnalysisA Meta-analysis of the Risk Factors for Stroke-associated Pneumonia.
This study aimed to conduct a meta-analysis to assess the possible risk factors of stroke-associated pneumonia (SAP). A comprehensive search of PubMed, Medline, and Cochrane Library was gathered from 2000 to April 2022. A case-control study evaluating the risk factors of SAP was selected. ⋯ This research is crucial because some risk factors are easily recognised, and patients with one or more of these risk factors were developing SAP. Disorders such as dysphagia, atrial fibrillation, diabetes, and hypertension should be addressed and managed to reduce the incidence of SAP conundrums. Key Words: Ischemic stroke, Pneumonia, Risk factor.

Chest X-Ray Severity Index as a Predictor of Requiring Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation in COVID-19 Positive Patients.
The aim of this study is to see the role of the chest X-ray severity index (Brixia score) as a predictor of requiring invasive positive pressure ventilation in COVID-19-positive patients. This descriptive cross-sectional prospective study were carried out in the Department of Pulmonology and Radiology, Mayo Hospital, Lahore. The data were collected from 1st May to 30th July 2020 from 60 consecutive COVID-19 positive patients. ⋯ It showed excellent predictive power, having a high numerical AUC (0.870) and a statistically significant p-value (<0.0001). High Brixia score conferred a high risk of the need for invasive positive pressure ventilation due to COVID-19. Key Words: Chest X-ray, Brixia score, COVID-19, Invasive positive pressure ventilation.
