Association of Serum Hyaluronic Acid and Laminin with Polymerase Chain Reaction Findings in Hepatitis C Patients.
To find the association of serum hyaluronic acid and laminin levels with polymerase chain reaction (PCR) results in hepatitis C sero-positive patients; and the correlation among viral load, serum hyaluronic acid, and serum laminin levels. ⋯ Current study established a strong significant association between PCR results and disease duration with levels of serum laminin and hyaluronic acid. The levels of serum laminin and serum hyaluronic acid also correlate well with viral load and duration of disease. Key Words: Hepatitis C, Hepatic fibrosis, Hyaluronic acid, Laminin.

Predictive Significance of Ki-67 and Platelet Lymphocyte Ratio in Patients with Gastric Cancer Receiving Neoadjuvant FLOT Chemotherapy.
We aimed to determine the predictive significance of Ki-67 and platelet lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in patients with gastric cancer (GC), who received fluorouracil, leucovorin, oxaliplatin, docetaxel (FLOT) as neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). ⋯ Ki-67 and PLR have predictive significance in GC patients treated with neoadjuvant FLOT. Ki-67 is an independent prognostic marker for OS in gastric cancer. Key Words: FLOT, Gastric cancer, Ki-67, Platelet lymphocyte ratio.

Increased Peripheral TFH Cells and Serum Interleukin-21 in Childhood Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Pneumonia.
The aim of this study was to investigate the role of TFH cells and interleukin (IL)-21 in the pathogenesis of childhood Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP). It was a retrospective study carried out at Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital, China from July 2016 to June 2019. It comprised 46 healthy control (HC) children and 106 pediatric patients, including 60 children with general MPP (GMPP) and 46 children with refractory MPP (RMPP). ⋯ In contrast, lower Blimp-1 levels were observed in MPP groups (p <0.001), especially in RMPP group (p = 0.021). Therefore, the elevated expansion of TFH cells and the increased secretion of IL-21 cytokine may contribute to the pathogenesis of childhood MPP, while its excessive response may be associated with the development of childhood RMPP. Key Words: TFH cells, IL-21, Children, Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia.

Case ReportsSpectacle Cord-retained Oculo-Orbital Prosthesis.
Retention of an orbital prosthesis plays a key role in treatment success and patient acceptance as does aesthetics. Though numerous retentive aids are available such as implants, adhesives, etc, the cost, surgical aspect, difficulty of use and allergic potential may compromise efficiency. ⋯ This report describes a simple, economical, and user-friendly approach to obtain satisfactory retention and camouflage for such patients with spectacle cords and customised spectacles. Key Words: Oculo-orbital prosthesis, Spectacle, Cord.

Case ReportsManagement Strategy for a Patient with Coexistence of Meningioma and Paraophthalmic Aneurysm.
The coexistence of intracerebral aneurysm and meningioma is a rare occurrence. There is no consensus about the treatment options. We aim to present a case of a 61-year female admitted to this clinic with persistent headache and loss of vision in both eyes, especially on the left. ⋯ The hypothesis of increased hemodynamic pressures, due to meningioma causing intracranial aneurysms, may explain this coexistence. Endovascular surgery, followed by stereotactic radiosurgery, may be a reliable approach for a patient with coexistent meningioma and aneurysm. Key Words: Meningioma, Aneurysm, Cavernous sinus.
