Case ReportsTuberculous Spondylodiscitis after Lumbar Microdiscectomy.
Postoperative spondylodiscitis (PSD) and postoperative osteomyelitis (POM) are known complications of lumbar disc surgery. Many infectious agents play a role in its etiology and it is mostly bacterial. A 55-year male patient underwent lumbar microdiscectomy (LMD) for left L4-5 disc hernia. ⋯ We report a very rare case of PSD due to TB infection after LMD. Clinical results and management of the patient was compared with other patients with similar characteristics in the literature. Key Words: Discectomy, Osteomyelitis, Spondylodiscitis, Tuberculosis.

Observational StudyComputed Tomography Evaluation of Airway Changes in Adult Patients with COVID-19 Pneumonia.
To investigate airway abnormalities on chest CT in adult patients with COVID-19 pneumonia. ⋯ Typical airway changes in adult COVID-19 pneumonia include bronchial wall thickening without significant stenosis of the airway lumen and the absence of bronchial mucus plugs. Moreover, bronchi located in unaffected lung regions have a normal appearance. These characteristics have potential value in differential diagnosis. Key Words: Coronavirus disease, Airway, Computed tomography, Chest.

Observational StudySurgical Outcome of Peripheral Vascular Injuries in Adults.
To describe the management and outcome of adult patients after peripheral vascular injuries. ⋯ Low hemoglobin on presentation, postoperative increased requirement of blood transfusions and having reverse saphenous graft as procedure were independent risk factors for amputation. ISS score and postoperative complications led to higher amputation and mortality rates after surgery. Key Words: Injury severity score (ISS), Glasgow coma scale (GCS), Reverse saphenous graft (RSVG), Fasciotomy, Popliteal artery, Mortality.

Randomized Controlled TrialBubble Nasal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (bCPAP) versus Control in Neonates with Respiratory Distress.
To compare the effectiveness of bubble continuous positive airway pressure (bCPAP) and oxygen inhalation via nasal cannula in neonates presenting with respiratory distress, using Silverman Anderson Retraction Score (SARS). ⋯ Bubble CPAP was more effective than nasal oxygen alone, in treatment of respiratory distress among neonates. This study suggested that bCPAP should be used more frequently in NICUs of Pakistan to reduce burden of neonatal morbidity due to respiratory distress. Key Words: Bubble CPAP, Respiratory distress, Neonates, Silverman Anderson Retraction Score.
