Comparison of De Ritis Ratio and Other Systemic Inflammatory Parameters for the Prediction of Prognosis of Patients with Transitional Cell Bladder Cancer.
To investigate the clinical value of preoperative De Ritis ratio (aspartate aminotransferase/alanine aminotransferase) (DRR) in patients with transitional cell bladder cancer (TCBC) at initial diagnosis. The secondary objective was to investigate the status of systemic inflammatory parameters, such as neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), lymphocyte-monocyte ratio (LMR), platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and platelet-monocyte ratio (PMR). ⋯ This paper shows a positive correlation between poor prognosis in TCBC and the systemic inflammatory markers, namely NLR, LMR, PLR and PMR, but not DRR.

Observational StudyIncidence and case fatality rate of COVID-19 in patients with inflammatory articular diseases.
To describe the incidence and fatality of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and identify risk factors to fatality in patients with inflammatory articular diseases (IAD). ⋯ COVID-19 CI, fatality rate and other features do not seem to be increased in IAD patients. Older age was associated with fatality in patients with IAD.

Trends, Management and Outcomes of Acute Myocardial Infarction in Chronic Liver Disease.
There are limited data on the management and outcomes of chronic liver disease (CLD) patients presenting with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), particularly according to the subtype of CLD. ⋯ CLD patients presenting with AMI are less likely to receive invasive management and are associated with worse clinical outcomes. Further differences are observed depending on the type as well as severity of CLD, with the worst management and clinical outcomes observed in those with severe ALD and OCLD.

Paediatric soft tissue sarcomas in a resource constraint setting: Grade and stage at presentation and at oncologic intervention are usually of poor prognostic characteristics.
To describe the pattern of paediatric Rhabdomyosarcomas (RMS) and Non-Rhabdomyosarcomas (NRMS) with emphasis on the indices that affect survival outcomes. ⋯ Majority of our patients presented at a late stage with histologic high grade which confers poor prognosis and reduced chances for good overall survival outcome.

The Impact of Charlson Comorbidity Index on mortality from SARS-CoV-2 virus infection and A novel COVID 19 mortality index: CoLACD.
The aim of this study is to find out the potential risk factors including charlson comorbidity index (CCI) score associated with death in COVID-19 patients hospitalised because of pneumonia and try to find a novel COVID-19 mortality score for daily use. ⋯ This study showed that by using the CoLACD mortality score, clinicians may achieve a prediction of mortality in COVID-19 patients hospitalised for pneumonia.
